Anubis is centered around Ana and Pharah in the lore, plus they are Egyptian. Has everyone just forgot about the lore or something? Illiari wants to separate from that part of herself in the lore, her past is a burden to her and it's aparent in some of her voicelines.

I like how the reaper mythic looks especially being a reaper main myself but then saying a what should have been 30 minute meeting turned to 5 clearing shows they don’t even know their own characters. Going into lore and the actual personality of the god Anubis, the mythic should’ve easily been given to Ram.

@@sharpshoothoot in the overwatch lore, anubis is an ai program that caused the omnic crisis and made all the ai go rogue, hence why ramattra would be a good fit for an anubis skin ontop of the fact that anubis plays into egyptian mythology reaper was also a good pick, and as a reaper main i can appreciate that, but ram should have gotten it

imma be real they showed they dont know their own characters since the kiriko age incident and also retconning genjis entire relationship. these are not the people who made the characters they are puppeteering husks of what we once knew. I like the game and want to enjoy it but even when i play I do feel like the soul of the original is actually gone

The reaper mythic looks awesome, I think it’s the best one so far, and all the effects are really cool. I was expecting Pharah or Ramattra but I think Reaper is actually a good choice and a better choice because an Egyptian Ramattra or Pharah skin would have been generic and what you would expect for the character, like how the Orisa one was a copy paste of her other skins. And the Egyptian mythology theme fits Reaper pretty well but is still original. Idk, I think Ramattra might’ve been less cool and they might make an even cooler mythic for Ramattra in the future.

Ramattra an omnic who will win against racism: Doesnt get mythic skin in egyptian based season Reaper a violent and enraged man who has nothing to lose: Gets skin Actually reading it out loud makes sense bc i remember anubis in general being depicted as antagonistic but its foul that ramattra, zen, or bastion doesnt even get a skin for this season considering that canon8cally all of them were omnics who were connected to anubis.

Well you see new characters have less skins so people who like them will likely buy any skin they put out. While older popular characters because they have so many good skins already it's harder to sell a new purple or legendary so they give them mythics

7:18 Easy solution is don't instantly run competitive when the new season starts. I'm sure they'll have a Clash 24/7 mode but if not quickplay & customs are how I become familiar with new maps & heroes. If you queue Competitive while aware you don't know the new maps or counters to a new character is on yoy

i just hate how much the mythic prisms cost if you dont get them from the pass, have to choose if you want the character skin OR the weapon skin now, and if you want the other aswell you gotta pay the price of a full game, and not a cheap one either, its like £50 or some shit, its ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure they said Venture won't get a skin until season 14... unless the community complains enough. Frankly, I don't care. I think venture is a niche' character that only was introduced to further their LGBT agenda, and wasn't actually designed to be a competitive option. Above Plat, He/She/It is barley used in competitive.

blaming companies for "cash grabs" is like yelling at the sky for being blue. We live in a capitalist society, the only thing that ANY company will do, ever, is try to increase revenue and/or reduce costs, always. i think it's great that they're giving people more choices for what to spend their mythic prisms on. it's only a problem if you refuse to accept you can't have everything

strong disagree with Jay on keeping things out of competitive. This is one of the best changes they've made, releasing things right away into comp. There's nothing wrong with having people compete while learning how to best play with the changes. if you're mad about it, learn how to do it better than others quicker

It's definitely a good thing they're adding her to comp on day 1 because it means all the people that normally play comp won't flood to quick play just to play her making it so people who only play quick play gets to play the new hero less, it makes it so more people can play her day 1 throughout the queues without being forced to play a different mode than they normally play
