The New Audi R8 is a Lamborghini at a lower price

This is a great value supercar. You get the same pops and gurgles as a Lamborghini Huracan but at a lower price. It's also super comfy so you can drive it literally every day if you want to. The only issue I have with the R8 is that the design hasn't changed much in 14 years so I just don't find it that sexy anymore. Thoughts guys?

I used to have an R8 and absolutely loved it! It was a 2009 V8 model but the exhaust note was still amazing. The maintenance costs were crazy expensive, however. Ended up trading it in, but man do I miss it.

Great video. Always wanted to own an R8, and I’m actually going to have to disagree with you about the design. I love how it looks a bit more square and geometric, from the shape of the headlights and the carbon fibre panel, I think it looks perfect, and the colour is just fantastic. When the R8 was launched 14 years ago it was perfect, when you try and mess with that it gets worse. Performance and interior improved but the 2007 model is the one for me. Car perfection.

It is an absolutely fabulous car, it looks good, sounds great, it's stupidly quick but IMO it can never be a supercar. A supercar is about more than just performance and looks, a supercar has to have that little something apart, in the R8's case the missing link is the manufacturer. A supercar must come from a manufacturer whose very name calls up instant desire, like Ferrari or Lamborghini, if you walk into a bar and drop an Audi key on the table nobody is instantly going to pay attention, if you drop a Lamborghini key on the table everyone instantly knows that this is the key to something special, you don't even need to see the car to know that. I still wouldn't say no to an R8, as I said it's a great sports car.
