Amazing idea: An open-world action-adventure F-Zero game that explores the bounty hunter side of Captain Falcon. He goes around finding new bounties to hunt and gets to different areas with his Blue Falcon obviously. It can even act as a prequel of sorts, showing how he got his reputation of being a great bounty hunter (and so we can finally see him use his gun).

I would turn Pokémon into a horror survival game: you become stuck in the woods and have to survive against Pokémon while discovering new areas like abandoned houses and caves while searching for the escape. Or even go further and make it a psychotic alakazam that is hiding pieces to an escape key while hunting you and you have to craft them without being seen. Edit: you don’t get Pokémon and it’s predetermined fights in the areas you encounter and you have to solve how to escape from them. If you can’t then death.

Okay, hear me out. I really want to see a sort of Nintendo themed choose your adventure. Like a Telltale game (if they ever come back), where you venture into different Nintendo IP’s for some reason. Kinda like if Smash went from its party/fighting game genre to story adventure, and I’m sure what all of us really want are character interactions! Essentially, what if World of Light had actual character interactions where you could control what happens based on decisions such as who you choose to save first as Mario or Kirby. What if you can decide if Mario and Kirby split to rescue fighters on their own? We all loved Sub Space because of those character interactions, and World of Light in this story adventure genre would be mind blowing... It may be hard considering how many fighters there are in Ultimate, but just imagine a game like that. Maybe I could start a project for it, but this idea really gets my creative gears running as Smash Ultimate means a lot to me.

I’d make a Smash Bros spinoff as a RPG game, the main storyline being that you are either an underdog, or a champion, You pick a character ( any character, no tier lists really), then decide to be one of the two storylines. As an Underdog, you have to do the generic rise to the top, along with other side quests that can take you to the other franchise worlds. The game ends when you are recognized for your strength and invited into the Champion League. You can refuse this and continue to play though. As the Champion, you must defend your title. Train and fight constantly, as well as adapt and change your fighting style or else the opponents will adapt. Find out new tech, etc. The only way for the game to end is to fall behind as the skill ceiling continues to rise, until you can’t keep up anymore. Then you will be in the Underdog mode. A.k.a. Washed up. TL;DR: A Smash RPG about casual/getting better and Competitive play

A hardcore survival-horror Zelda game is pretty much my dream game. Zelda has always had elements of horror, sure, but I'm talking like a full-on overhaul where those themes are dialed up to 11. Zelda's monsters and villains have always been some of my favorites in gaming due to their uniqueness and how iconic they are, and after looking through a lot of the books Dark Horse has released with unused concept art and cut enemies, dungeons, etc, I'd love to see some of these things get implemented. Some of the unused concepts for the guardians were legitimately terrifying, not that the ones that we got weren't scary the first few times we ran into them, but I'd love to see some of the legitimately nightmarish things in those books brought to life in a game. On top of that, I think now that Breath of the Wild has explored the concept of weapon durability, and having limited consumable items in the form of bombs, arrows, etc, has been a concept dating back to the original game, I think that would lend itself well to a survival-horror themed take on Zelda. My biggest gripe with Breath of the Wild I think would have to be in the enemy variety. There were really only 3 main enemy types, their stronger versions, and their Stal variants, and a couple of boss type enemies, another of which had a Stal variant. This worked well enough for what Breath of the Wild was trying to do, but it lacked a lot of the more iconic, scarier enemies, like ReDeads and Gibdos, to name just a couple. They did have the Stal enemies to sort of fill that undead enemy role, but they were more goofy than scary honestly. I'd love to see more enemies like Dead Hand, or even a Gohma type enemy would be perfect in a horror setting. I have hope that we'll be returning to some of those scarier themes once Breath of the Wild 2 finally hits due to the mummified Ganondorf coming to life in the trailer, but I would pay top dollar to play a game set in the Zelda universe that showcases just how twisted Ganon/Demise's influence can truly be. Breath of the Wild, though still a fantastic game, had the potential to be the bleakest game in the series, with the kingdom destroyed, Zelda locked in a desperate, hundred year battle with the Calamity, and rampant Guardians running amok, yet there were still so many people just.. Wandering around, like everything was fine. It didn't really feel like a ruined, desolate place to me, like the game tried to convey. Imagine if it took more of a Fallout like approach though, another game series that I'd love to see explore its horror elements more in-depth. Most of the things you encounter in those games are either bandits, or some kind of monstrosity, with most of the non-hostile characters staying holed-up in the safety of their few settlements. I think that would work well with a horror-themed Zelda, rather than the NPCs in Breath of the Wild who will just be casually wandering around next to an active Guardian without a care in the world.

I've always thought that the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise would work really well as an open world game. Considering how much it has struggled in 3D as a platformer, I think the latitude that an open world genre lends would help solve a lot of issues. Just imagine racing across a world as big as the ones we see in RDR, Xenoblade Chronicles, or Botw...but as Sonic. I'd love the chance to play that. Thanks Choctopus!

I would make Smash into a hero picker Rouge-Like with each character having their own unique abilities and powers. Every item in the game would have different abilities too. The black hole would occasionally pull in enemies so you could kill them easier, etc. Master hand would be the final boss and depending on how long the run is would determine his health like Risk of Rain 2.

For example... -Red Pikmin-Shoots out at normal speed and does normal damage, can also be caught on fire to increase damage, but will lose range in the process -Yellow Pikmin-Shoots out at the second fastest speed, and has the longest range, but has the highest chance to jam your gun(because of their ears), and does greater damage the more distance you have on your enemy -Blue Pikmin-Shoots out at normal speed and has normal damage, but when underwater has more speed and damage to it -Purple Pikmin-Shoots out at the slowest speed and has the shortest range, but deals the most damage and has a chance to one-shot your enemy -White Pikmin-Shoots out at the fastest speed, has the second worst damage output, but can be rapidly fired and has a chance to poison your enemy, causing them to slowly take damage over time and miss attacks more -Flying Pikmin-Shoots out at normal speed, has the worst damage output, but locks on and homes in on enemies -Rock Pikmin-Shoots out at the second slowest speed, has the second shortest range, can be used to break objects and they cannot be killed on impact unlike the others, so they can be reused, but has the second highest chance to jam your gun --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The main objective is to gather your ship parts because Olimar sucks at piloting a ship, but you can find gun parts and other weapons to gather and build. A tank, car, canon, other types of guns, or just straight up a helicopter. Whatever it is can be gathered and built. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enemies will be like the normal Pikmin types, but a few new ones I would like to add. -A beetle with boxing gloves, always challenges you to a 1 v 1 -A fish army with gun shaped mouths -A flying plant who shanks you behind your back -A spider that comes down from ceilings and snaps your neck -A berry insect that likes to eat your ammo and turn them into berry juice to heal yourself -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are many more things I could go on about, but this is getting quite long. Might sound crazy, but I’d take Kirby into a Metroidvania direction. You could start off on a barren planet with many obstacles and not many enemies to get copy abilities from, but as you progress through the game, you restore life to the planet, thus resulting in more available enemies and copy abilities
