I got so sad when each character committed suicide, and I can understand why they would crack, when u are stuck in a loop on a hell like plane of reality with now way out.... It's easy to see why they would be cracking, and we have never seen this side of them, the side of them that seems like there is no hope of getting out of this hell....it really gives me chills, we have seen them go through so much and this must be on a completely new level of tough for them.but that's what purgatory is all about it seems breaking people down and feeding off there doubt and frustration.

I will fully admit that this trailer made me cry. Growing up with the characters and seeing them break down really humanizes them. It hurts when your pillar of strength shatters. What do you lean on then? What do you have left? I’ll give you a hint... “No one escapes alive...” Edit. Add on. Fair warning this post gets sad. Read at own risk. No really. Read at own risk. Seeing Dempsey sitting there in the wardens office was heart shattering, the look on his face, I know it. Mainly because I’ve seen it in my own reflection. Contemplating suicide. (I am getting professional help for this. Don’t worry internet. I’m getting help.) Being able to relate that much deeper to these characters just makes it hurt even more. Knowing the pain of being broken, not being able to fix it no matter what you try. 3arch nailed it with the trailer. “No way out” scrawled on the wall, is a reminder, Death is not an escape from fate. You can’t know happiness without first knowing sorrow. You can’t have victory with out first understanding defeat. So much more I want to say but words fail me. Watching Richthofen break on the roof and beginning to scream, Nikolai slowly walking over to the crawler and falling to his knees... faint memories. Story time. Sit down. Get popcorn. And a drink. To you it won’t mean too much. Maybe. If you’ve ever built a clan it will. I used to play Destiny 1 a lot, I built a clan up from the ground. Gave it my all to keep it going. In a way I was Richthofen, always had a plan for everything, always trying to keep the group together. Keep moving forward, no matter what. We have a mission. I was the peace keeper. Then the problems began. Not having a plan for once, I lost everything. Just like Takeo at the end of the trailer I began to realize there was nothing I could do to save it. I gave in Like Nikolai, I threw down my weapons and gave up. The clan split away. People I had come to know as family slowly started disappearing. Even now almost 2 years later I can still feel the anger just like Nikolai does when he caves the crawlers head in. The unbridled rage dwelling within. Breaking the mirror, almost like rejecting fate, what’s happened, and not knowing what to do about it. Tearing it all down. My clans gone now, and nothing but a faint memory remains. Damn it Treyarch. Why did you have to make them so relatable. The reason I keep looking towards these characters as hero’s is, in a way, they’re like comic book characters. They do these impossible things, they keep pushing through to the end. No matter the cost. This map, this trailer, it is a wonderful reminder... they are only human. And there’s only so much anyone can take before they snap. As another viewer said “That’s what purgatory is all about. Breaking people down and feeding off their doubt and frustration.” (The courier) Sorry. Didn’t mean for this comment to become an essay. Thanks for reading.

At the end of the trailer it seems like all of the characters have been overrun and then the candle goes out. The candle also goes out when the characters arrive at Alcatraz. This is probably really irrelevant but it might prove they are in a cycle. The hanging bodies might also be failed timelines where the characters had been killed. Idk just a theory I thought of.

This trailer was amazing, Treyarch really out did themselves. The symmetry of some scenes that were in the original mob of the dead trailer, the music and atmosphere was just incredible and to top it all off just the emotion shown through the crew told a story in itself, they didn't even speak at all yet you know that Nikolai is not happy and Richtofen is speechless as it looks as if his plan will fail. No matter the outcome of this map it's going to be one hell of a journey not only for us but for Primis as well!

I said this last month, also on the trailer comments' section. This map is exactly like that one Doctor Who episode. They die to be reborn. But this time they remember everything. All the pain, all the misery. I think they lose control, like when Richtofen gets that crystal, I think they lose their minds and start to simply ignore pain. The trailer is amazing though. Everything looks great. I love the new look on the hellhounds and the amount of emotion is insane! The trailer, for me, is like an anime. They start off great, start to get worse, pretty much dying, starting a comeback, epic cliffhanger. I love this trailer. I can't wait for the rest.. Just imagine a part of the EE or a part of the map that has something saddening, the music starts and the characters start to lose control... I'm in love..

I feel Dempsey is gonna be low key, yet important. He is the only one to not die because he doesn’t die when he’s crawling and he doesn’t die anywhere else. He is thinking about committing suicide with the revolver but he doesn’t. Remember his bio in WAW when it said he was trapped in a cage as he was captured by the Japanese in WAW. HE DOESN’T CRACK. its just like a movie that ends badly and you start crying, but this is a 10 year movie, 10 years of us loving and attaching to the characters more and more every year, seeing this trailer is like seeing that sad ending of a movie, watching the crew in pain, hate and suffering like that just broke me to tears, im even crying as im writing this, and yet we still have to see the easter egg ending cutscene, which im not even sure if seeing it is a good thing or a bad thing, it might be even more sad than this trailer. Hey Rad Subscribed back when black ops was the current cod. I was obsessed with the storyline and back then there were nearly no zombie youtubers in Germany (I’m living in Germany). Hey guys, so I've been thinking about the cinematic alot after watching this trailer to see why there's such a dramatic change in tone. In the opening cinematic, Richtofen re reads the Kronorium and in his shock states "Our blood? My blood? You cannot possibly be serious!". Since the blood vials keep the characters alive because they are samples of people in Purgatory, making them non-erasable, maybe these characters we see are the ones who HAVE to be stuck in the loop to keep the Revelations Primis crew alive. These characters know they have to live in this Purgatory cycle for other crews to survive and serve as the replacement for the Mob crew who left as seen by Al's lost hat. Thoughts?

when Richtofen asked monty if he could send there somewhere I think Blood is it, monty could of wiped them out of existence but instead sent them to blood of the dead and the re occurring theme fits it of never getting out of there alive, the map is suppose to torture the characters over and over and over again until they break, and the ending of revelations didn't show us where monty has sent them but instead just restarted the cycle. if this is true I believe that blood of the dead will take place after revelations

Since it's in purgatory, all souls there are trapped, but the only one that has a soul while there is Nikolai and then I remembered that thing "a soul alone can follow the path" or maybe since they don't have their souls anymore most of primis is actually able to escape, Nikolai would still be trapped because he still has his soul Also in the comics, while in his lab under Alcatraz, richtofen mentions that the "rules" are different here If that could mean anything maybe because the fabric between m realities is so thin there it acts as limbo, could also explain why so many of the perk machines phase in and out The Alcatraz location in our story is MUCH BIGGER and IMPORTANT than we originally thought

My theory is similar to yours. The intro cut scene is when they enter purgatory and are left. Then the trailer progresses chronologically. They are a team then they start to lose hope and by the end they have died and failed so many time they have lost all hope. I feel like the quote by richtofen in the cut scene "our blood my blood. Do you think I will let this happen" means they will be stuck in mob until they all give into death. I could see there loophole to this is to release victis and tell them to complete their mission and then they give into the cycle to end it.

What if they survive longer than they ever have by working together and something else happens with the old crew and they have to find a way to break the paradox by killing someone, would this be nickolies purpose? To help them survive longer and longer until he will soon be sacrificed?

Hey Reed keep up the great work. It made me feel sad for one of the first times to watch the characters die. Also what is the shard Richthofen brings out of the lava? I don’t remember anything on that crystal. Also is this the Primis crew from black ops 3 or is this a different alternate universe? Keep up the great work.
