And I don’t get why we can’t just let students tap their student card and get in for free, because after all they never really tap on, so whose saying that they would start paying the 50c. I believe kids go cards should be free on weekends and also during all of school holidays. The Brisbane city council pensioners free off peak should be expanded to the entire translink system. Airtrain turned into public hands. Also reduce tolls and council owned parking to 50c and to do that we will have to have TransLink takeover the payments whilst the government or council or TMR or whatever runs them. It’s over Transurban, Wilson and Secure. The government will own your parking. Same with you Westfield and Brisbane airport.

If we had governments full of people keeping it real we could truly move mountains together and make it to the stars brother man. We don’t have to destroy the planet in the process. It’s all about the balancing act. Everything comes back to the balance. Intelligent humans can find the balance. But how does one remove corruption from the human person? Greedy little goblins with the grubby mitts out grabbing cash from each other under dirty tables. How do we overcome such wretched depravity and deplorable depths. What if I told you some human persons can resist corruption better than others. How do we seek out those persons and inspire them enough to work together in a small no frills government. Transparency and morals. And a democratic voting system would be nice something simple and secure. Building towards a good future. Does it truly have to be such a far fetched dream. @@themcfunnel I just find it weird then that the original commenter said a 30 minute drive RE most treatments when Gympie is severely underfunded and has had a heap of services wound back, pushing us to travel to SCUH (full transparency - this has happened under QLD Labor and SCUH is not close to most of the Gympie region whatsoever, plus SCUH is a shit hospital full of people who, fair enough need to learn somewhere but actually misdiagnose people and kill them, ie my own grandmother). Maryborough is trash, so if Hervey Bay is average, the original commenter has severely underestimated the actual commute time. Isn't SCUH nearly 2hrs from Methyborough? Even then, sometimes we have to go to hospitals in Brisbane for specialists. On a Friday that's 3-4hrs from Gympie let alone 30-45mins up the road.... TL;DR the situation in Gympie and Fraser regions with hospitals is extremely dire at this point. I don't blame people from these areas being salty at Labor, especially Gympie when the hospital has been gutted under Labor. Love the gov's policies but they've screwed up with Gympie Hospital, worst case they're neglecting the region because it's an extremely safe LNP stronghold. No theory on Maryborough though since that's at least historically had Labor reps.

It’s interesting when you look at the LNPs time in government when the 2013 floods hit Brisbane and how the suburb of Logan was flooded from the spilling of the ‘Maroon Dam”. Land values plummeted and all the residents had to sell their properties due to the risk of insurance not covering damage from the said floods. The properties were sold cheaply and isn’t it interesting that LNP associates bought the flooded Logan properties and Now Logan just voted in a LNP council? Isn’t it funny how these a-holes like building things like the Redcliffe train line which flooded the Moreton region. Then they buy the affected land cheaply, move their affiliates into them then a few years later it’s LNP territory. Underhanded moves from a party that made its money from the suffering of its citizens

Hey Jordan, Townsville Labor voter here. David is known locally as Crisafullofit. That said, you should really look into the conduct of our three local MPs. If Labor lose the election, it'll be because of our three seats. Aaron Harper calling a rally against youth crime a "Liberal-planted rent-a-crowd" or Les Walker having a punch on outside the Mad Cow for instance. The three of them seem to have the combined appeal of not being Liberal and nothing else.

Those same politicians and toowoomba townies believe the end of the earth is Omara rd theirs almost no public transport to the satellite suburbs like oakey or crows nest. The roads out that way are a joke but theirs a traffic light every 400 meters on ruthven st. John wagner pocketed millions out of that quarantine centre that was paid for by tax payers. Former mayor Paul Antonio got the government to pay for a feasibility study to have the Melbourne to Brisbane rail corridor service his basalt mine. I have seen Kerry shine smoking on primary school grounds while handing out how to vote cards for the 1999 referendum. And Alice Nelligen sits in her wheelchair lecturing everyone last weekend at Lake anand about going green on earth/environmentday. I personally saw her sitting in an idling BMW for half an hour in the Clifford gardens car park while her driver went and did her shopping a couple of weeks ago.Joe ramia passed laws banning food trucks from driving on council grass thus protecting his company supa catering because his food stalls are put in place by tilt tray trucks. The eshays only exist there because the Newman government pushed out the bikies that kept the street gangs in line. Toowoomba is rotten to the core
