The spawnrates of the Old Bird on Embrion and the Butler on Dine are so insanely high at the moment, that I think this is intentionally, just so that people can try out the new enemies during the beta stage.

E.g. the Butler is so much scarier at a spawnrate of maybe 5-10%, where they regularly spawn but you aren't really prepared for it. Now on Dine, you're pretty much always grouping up "just in case". But with lower spawnrates, you wouldn't do that, where the Butler becomes actually much harder to deal with

Fun fact- the blowfish actually looks like a normal fish when it’s in the deep ocean. ( Real name is psychrolutes) But because it is adapted to live in the insanely high pressures of the deep, when it is brought out to the low pressure of the air, all of its organs pop, its blood vessels rip, its skin inflames, and all of its bodily fluids pool at the bottom of it’s now saggy skin, making it look “blobby”.

To be fair the whole thing with Butlers is to not kill them. The only reason a counterplay item should be added is for solo players or if there's only 2 players (it's kinda annoying not to split up just because of a Butler).

We could also propose if you spray a hive with it the bees run away in the opposite direction, it’s not so much counterplay as it is giving you an opportunity to run away. Insym complains as soon as you run out of stamina, you’re a free kill to the bees, but if you have this bug spray you have a wayyyyy better chance of survival by just preventing them from moving for a small amount of time.

The butler is supposed to have an ost that plays similar to the nutcracker when it becomes aggro as it pulls the knife out but theres a bug it seems that causes the ost to not start such as seen in this video. It might have something to do with having music turned down

Possible tech for butler bees. HAVE NOT TESTED JUST THEORIZING - Can you bring in a bee nest (from like an early planet), and get the bees that spawn from the butler to attach to the nest? Then do standard bee tactics right at the end?

I think a good change would be 1 guaranteed butler. Thats it, no more will spawn. Then the bee's are only a problem if you want the knife, you make the decision if its worth having the bees around or not and in that case make it so butlers appear on all mansion maps, but only ever one. Makes sense for reality sake and for balance sake imo. However it is funny seeing 7 of them I will admit

Butlers really do change how you play, and it a net positive way. It affects how your team plays, the knives make certain monsters more manageable, and they still present a challenge since you need to evade them as they move around. We do need something that can affect the Bees though. Because unlike the butlers themselves they are a much more dangerous hazard when around.

Love how the intro says the knife is OP and kills all enemies in a single hit-but the only enemy that dies in a single hit to it is just the Butler itself. Otherwise it does the same damage as a shovel, stop sign, etc., it just swings faster so you can technically have higher DPS because of the increased attack speed.

With Artifice, I have to imagine that the new meta for Q10 will be Titan or Dine for the first few quotas, and then Artifice for the last half because of the sheer amount of loot and how close it often is to the entrances. I don’t know if anyone’s mentioned this yet but do u think a possible strat for the butlers is to keep a bee hive on the ship and bring one inside, then round up butlers and kill them and have the bees hover around the hive then do a normal bee hive strat on the way out? I’m not sure if the butler bee AI is different and bees won’t try to swarm a hive or if multiple bee groups can swarm a single hive.

Played duo dine yesterday, new dine exterior is actually kinda goated. Turrets have been cut in half but which doesn't eliminate dine turret hell, but makes it less likely. Least favourite part about the butler is how often he bumps into you, then gets offended and stabs you - probably tied with the hornets. The hornets should dissapear after like 1-2 ingame hours imo, them being like vunerable outside of their nest causing them to die kinda makes sense. I've seen Shirt113 showcase that at least on a facility, the hornets are really quite easy to lose, but I feel like on mansion interior Dine that's just not viable, and even then it's still not great because as a solo you can lose but that just locks off a section of the map permanently... Also I saw Bunny suit for sale for 200, couldn't get it because it was first quota but yeah. It exists.

I mean, about the debate on minute 38:00 ish; if you find Butlers you can just leave them be - I feel there's A LOT of butlers because there's A LOT of you, maybe there's max 3 or 4 per Dine and the reason you got almost 7 or 8 is because you were 5 people or something like that. Other than that, if that's wrong anyways, the counterplay would be, 'let it be', just as the spider. Jester is "oh god guess we gotta go", and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. This guy is the same, but if you want a REALLY STRONG WEAPON you're trading a guy you can 'somewhat' ignore for bees. I don't think you need a counterplay for that, you just kill it before leaving the planet and that's it. The game has shown that not everything needs a counter play pretty decently.
