Cool car but with all those micro electric motors driving everything, the failure rate with age I would presume to be massive and the repairs expensive. Very expensive. My experience with just the electric door locks on my van were ridiculous. Solenoids needed replacement periodically and now they are impossible to find due to the van’s age. This car has micro electric motors all over it. It will be a repair nightmare.

Facts speak for themselves. Many taxis in Beijing are Chinese EV cars. Many of them have traveled more than 1 million kilometers. I have talked to local drivers. Apart from simple fixed maintenance (battery coolant and lubricating oil), there have been no major failures and the battery attenuation is also very low.

Nope, nothing like the defender a hole lot better than the defender the defender is crap compared to this BYDU8. I know because I sadly own a crap Defender is nothing but a piece of garbage. Massive problems with water that got inside the car while I was crossing a brook 3 feet high water it flooded the inside. The dealer told me they were not designed to go on water that deep seriously 3 feet, maybe 4 at some parts, and my insurance didn't want to pay for the damages either. Land Rover is crap. LR4 v8 was amazing, got a 2020 Discovery Sport, and a Defender the defender sucks.
