Well actually Carnival Splendor was originally ordered for Costa Cruises then was transferred to carnival

Like you we enjoy Encounter, but are giving the Splendor a run in February. Looking forward to 79 nights on the Grand in 2027. To us they feel like a bigger version of the Sun, Sea and Dawn. Thanks for the video.

I am glad the Carnival are going to leave the interiors of Adventure and Explorer more or less alone as they are far more inviting and up market to what Splendor and Luminosa have on offer.

I've travelled on Pacific Encounter so for me I'd like to try a Costa style ship (Luminosa) and it would be interesting to try out a Concordia class in some kind of morbid fascination of being on the same design as Concordia herself. Kind of how I think it would have felt to travel on Olympic after the Titanic and Britannic disasters

Hi Chris. I live in South East Qld. I took my Grand Son Apollo on the Luminosa for his 18 th. Birthday in March this Year. I LOVE the Luminosa. It is a Delight for the Eyes. It is So Beautiful and I will would cruise on here every Day if I could. Our next cruise was on The Pacific Encounter, September 7 Th. This is a very different ship from Lumi. But it is still a great Ship. I think that the Encounter is more what I expected a Cruise ship to look. Not Beautiful but a Great ship non the less. I am booked on Quantum on 31 st. January before she leaves Australia and I am also booked on Voyager for her First Cruise out of Port of Brisbane 13 th. December 25. By that time I will have a great idea of which ship I like the Best. I am tempted to go to Sydney to sail on Splendor just to see how different she is. But Carnival Luminosa will always be Special because she is so different and so Beautiful. The Luminosa needs to be based in Brisbane all year around. Thanks for the Video.

I have sailed on all 4 of the ships. And I have sailed the Adventure 4 times and 2 or 3 times when it was Golden Princess. I seriously cannot stand the dark MDR on the Splendor, those big green trupmets on the side of the walls are what nighmares are made of. But I don't mind the rest of the Splendor, but everything on the Splendor is like over the top and dark. Some places are difficult to get to as well. Similar problems on the Encounter/Adventure. But I love the size of the Encounter/Adventure. I love ships that have an inside pool and an outside pool. So I reckon the Adventure/Encounter equal choice, Luminosa next- but they need to get the Mongolian wok. and the Splendor last because of the very dark interiors.

I wonder what the fate for the rest of costa is… no new orders and carnival continues to take ships. I wonder if the rest will eventually transfer to carnival 🤔

I think the P&O Australia ships should be returned to Princess Cruises.

I am just not sure that Princess would want them back! I think they've moved on now with the Royal class and the new Sphere class. Plus, I am assuming they did the numbers and realised that Princess year round in the Australian market would likely have less appeal than Carnival year round.
