I like the board, especially the fingers of flat and the fact that you can make it symetrical just by sanding it's nose a little bit. It's also quite opposite from what I usually ride (Santa Cruz On Venture v-hollow lows) and I'm about 6.1 foot tall. I'll get that Anti-hero 14.5 and sand down the nose to turn it into twin tail board. I noticed that many pros who ride Thunders or Ventures (Shane, P Rod, Yuto,...) like 14 inch wheelbase but such short wheelbase just makes wheelbase on other trucks much shorter. Primitive, Girl and April boards are mostly coming with 14 inch wheelbase at 8.25. Btw looking forward to his review of Andy Anderson's latest symmetrical board 😂

All the specs talk make sense. That spoon thing I believe is what was labelled as 'Full concave' when I was riding the Cliche Europe deck (dwindle). It made nose and tail slides much more promising in length. I've been using 14''wb8.25'' Skatemental with 8.5inch regular Thunders and I like it a lot. So that's what's where I'd integrate this deck into. All the stuff I know how to do - looks better on this kind of setup. Though it is a bit difficult to learn new stuff on such a steep angled deck. Like I always have something mellow and low for learning stuff and then something steep like this for making it look better.

Nice vid Ben, with some fun skating at the end. Well done getting that back 3 and nollie big heel(?) at the end. Also dig the board talk. Been watching Tom Asta's recent vids about changing up his board size/set-up too. I keep an 8.0 and 8.25 set-up going (with a sometimes back-up 8.38) but as a shorter old guy I prefer shorter deck length and shorter wb. I have been riding a few Snata Cruz Fabi Delfino shapes (8.25 x 31.6 x14wb) and quite digging those. Also had a Primitive 8.25 x 31.9 x 14wb which went really well too until it got a big soggy after a few months and rainy sessions. Def find longer decks and wb a weird challenge (though also my skating is super ave/low level so there's that too 😂) Anyway, keep up the fun vids and skate equipment breakdowns

The width and wheel base are on the smaller size for me. I’ve been riding a pretty mellow 8.5/14.5 Toy Machine lately on V-Hollows and that has felt very nice and dare I say sounds not too unlike this in terms mellowness, fuller shape and a longer tail.

I would like to see a board series that standardizes the measurements for wheelbase; i.e. you select Indy, Thunder, Venture, Ace and you get the mold that makes your wheelbase 14.25 using those trucks. Otherwise, everything else is the same. From a production standpoint, it’s probably more costly, but I think it would allow for more minor tweaks with the setup (height, concave preference).

I like a long tail, when I'm skating wheels 54mm and up. I ride ''WKND'' decks a lot, because of the mellow concave/ and dimensions. PS STIX mostly makes those WKND decks, They have short tails, I can only skate them with 52mm wheels and Indy mids. Any other way i set them up I cant skate those decks. So I started looking for longer tails. I'm riding some Venture 6.1s with a Welcome Nora deck 8.7 shaped with a square tail, BBS wood. with some 54mm Bones STF 99a wheels, and those rations are helping for this set up of mine. the wheelbase is 14.5 and I thought the Ventures would make the wheelbase to wide for me, but It feels so nice compared to when I tried to set the same deck up with some Indy 159s. Has to be the Wheelbase being extended compared to when I had the Indy's in making the wheelbase go in.

Looking to get hold of an easy rider board… I was thinking of pairing this with some Thunder hi lights (or hi hollow lights) 148 - would the extra height potentially address the issue you were getting with Thunders (ghost pop, trouble getting into halfcab crooks)? And would you err towards a lighter or heavier truck for this board? Thanks for all the nerdiness your bring to skateboarding set ups. It’s appreciated.

What do you think about skating switch off the tail and skating fakie off the nose? I think this makes more sense... the nose is designed to hit the floor later when you take off for nollie so why wouldnt the same apply to fakie? I understand people like to keep their turning the same, and I have heard some people say they like the tail hitting sooner on switch. Seems like it goes against why the board was designed that way to me though. I have done this my last few setups and I feel like my wheels and trucks wear more evenly as well, but you have to skate a lot of switch.

They have big hangers like indys that make them grind better than Ventures and thunders. They're $50 on Syndrome Distrubution, get then from there that way you get their latest mold. I love em.

in terms of how easy a board pops, when you say a shorter wheelbase makes the easier to pop, should i assume the length of the board stays the same? Cause if thats the case, the tail is obviously now longer. Before watching your videos, all I consider is the length of the tail/nose (ok the steepness/shape as well of course), the wheelbase for me is basically for turning. a 14.25WB with 6.5 Tail is way hard to pop compared with also a 14.25WB with 7.0 Tail. cause in the end, not considering quality of wood and all those other variables, the pop angle is basically everything right? cause all I do is measure distance from ground to front wheels or nose (again i am only talking about pop here, weight and everything stays the same or not regarded).
