It's interesting to see how prominent Botan's role in these performances is. I wonder if she will be able to continue on in Kabuki or if she will be pushed out as she gets older. I feel like she could have the potential to be one of the first successful Kabuki actresses since the Meiji period.

I was lucky to see him dance at the sumo wrestler Hakuho's retirement event a year ago; it was quite a surprise! (I'd won the tickets)

could you do a video on kabuki backdrops? i cant really find much info on the history and traditions of them, so i cant aswell discern which are "traditional" or more modern additions.
