I'm really glad you mentioned some of the design aspects of the bike that doesn't look as good. A lot of people have been just beating off to the bike, which for performance and technology, rightfully so BUT the bike does not look as good as the 1299. Way too many breaks in the fairings that destroy the lines of the bike and I agree that frame would look much better in black.
@ducman7489966 жыл бұрын
Jaret Campisi hopefully the first carbon piece they make are frame covers, and I agree it’s not as clean of a design as a 1299 but I still like it but wow Ducati’s have gotten really pricey since I bought my 996 in 2000!
@Shadow_Reyu6 жыл бұрын
I'm with you on the looks, Jaret. Not as clean or exciting as the 1299 or 959. I'm looking forward to Ducati's new paint job or redesign.
@ReaIDeaI16 жыл бұрын
Bro the bike looks like trash. And I’m someone who’s ride or die Yamaha but I feel like the 1199/1299 are the most beautiful bikes out there. I don’t understand how Ducati could have left the bike looking like that and ruin their reputation for making beautiful Italian bikes

This is when you really love your bike.! Keeping it inside on the second floor of your apartment. Perfect, LOL. In California I kept all my bikes in the garage, gym conversion, on carpet, because the weather is sweet all year round. Before I had a house I would bring my bikes in my apartment also year-round. Every year in Monterey for the GP races I would rent a first floor Hotel room and bring my bike inside every night. I'm in Ohio now, so my ZX-10R stays in the living room on my carpet dead center. Can sit and eat dinner and stare at her all night. LOL. Can start her up in the house whenever I want because I'm divorced. Nobody bitching at me about nothing. Yeah that's the way to go.! Hours of working on it, installing custom mods, making it your own, spending thousands of dollars on it, it becomes your baby. I've tricked out many sport bikes over the years . Can't wait to get back to California next year . Monterey, Highway 1 along the coast, the rock store, Canyon racing , Love sport bikes!!

Niecely done Adey! It's visible that You took a great care abot the bike and was very cautios about it but that's how it is when the weather isn't too good. It'd be very bad to crash out a V4... Can't wait to see a proper test from you!

Nice first quick review for the V4. I'm not crazy about the lines either. Doesn't look as clean or exciting as the 1299 or even the 899 and 959. The tech is great, the performance is likable and it will sell, but a new paint job and redesign will get people more excited. Either way, Ducati made a special bike. On a different note though, great video quality as always. Nick shoots very clean videos. I mean, they man knows what the people like to see and how to make it look good. A+ video quality.

That tank pad isn't going to do much to protect the tank, but the tank is kind of an odd shape against the aluminum. I don't like how the side fairings wrap in front of the tank. I have to think they could have done something better there.

Yeah man, good call. I think that side view is no where near as sweet flowing as the 1299. And am not sure if this makes sense,, but I actually like the fact that the 1299’s engine characteristics and riding experience could be the wilder and maybe even more exciting ride. Even at speeds in and around the speed limit.....

Damn. Closet gear go HARD. Question. You said you gave 8.5 on a bad day. Your thoughts compared to the 2016 R1?
@Adeysworld6 жыл бұрын
whereitallhappens My R1 feels more natural beneath me because I’ve grown accustom to its character. The power delivery is similar to the R1. But I prefer the output and feel of the crossplane engine. The Panigale still feels like a twin, which I’m not so crazy about. I would’ve preferred it feel more like the V4 of the Aprilia.

It looks ok. I agree the 1299 Is better aesthetically. But i think the crossplane with the austin racing exhaust sounds better than both of the Italian v4's. Keep the vids comin. I'll be trailering up to Mulholland in August. I'm tired of watching that road on KZbin. I have to ride it.
@Adeysworld6 жыл бұрын
Perry J Akrapovic + Crossplane trumps all. Austin racing is just loud open can. Akrapovic has a unique GP sound. I hope you plan riding Mulholland on a weekday. It’s an instant ticket party if your bike isn’t 💯 in legal trim.

The Panigale is in name only. Ducati is using it as a marketing strategy to show some type of lineage with the old two cylinder bikes. This bike does not ride like the 1199 or the 1299. The engine is finally in the right place in the chassis, which allows the geometry to be optimized to allow the bike to turn. That 60 profile rear tire does more to initiate steering changes on roads like 9 Mile than the counter rotating crankshaft ever could. Now if you are hitting race track chicanes at 120+ MPH... This bike is much more forgiving and much more street-able than the last few generations of Ducati superbikes. It is easier to access the power without the necessary electronics to keep you upright on the twins. What this really says is that Ducati should have done this after the 999. Instead they played to the aura of the " L- Twin." Foisting on the public ill handling bikes that too easily lose the front end due to geometry comromises that the engine design forced upon Ducati. Where does that leave all the people that bought Ducati superbikes for the last 10 years?

He talks about going through a corner and having traction. It has lean angle traction control, one of the engineers told me you can keep the throttle cracked in a turn and the bike will not put down more power than the bike can handle traction wise. How fucking cool is that?! Just steer it and hang on. Youd have to be fucktard to crash this thing.

Aurora Jones That feature won’t save your ass when your front end washes out from a dirt patch or oil slick. That’s what I was dealing with all day shooting this video. It’s been raining out there more than usual. I’ve never seen the canyons this dirty before. I’ll be staying away until the road is cleaned.
