@MzeewaUjijiАй бұрын
You only improve when you procure things you have the capacity to maintain. If those get dirty, or ripped, Tanzania has to import the fabric to repair them. If the frame of the chair is broken, Tanzania has to import the whole seat. Is this really improvement?
@NDEWARAАй бұрын
@@MzeewaUjijieven US imports Mzee😂😂
@MzeewaUjijiАй бұрын
@@NDEWARA You are crazy. The US may import, but it does not pay for its imports. It simply prints US dollars and gets what it wants. Tanzania has to sell gold, coffee, sisal or something tangible, to get things like this. Furthermore, if the US were to import such a train as this, it would produce the material needed to repair any part of the train by itself. The US is still the most technologically advanced country in the world, even if it chooses to import. I love Tanzania, but I know what is going to happen with this train, because I saw this same thing happen to the trains in Zambia
@ngamaizinzi3987Ай бұрын
@@MzeewaUjiji So what is your point man?, Tanzania should should not building infrastructure until they have the ability to produce and maintain everything locally?? . Your not ok man, very delusional 😂😂 Comparing Tanzania to America is totally nonsense
@MzeewaUjijiАй бұрын
@@ngamaizinzi3987 If you had any sense in the head, or the capacity to read, you would have seen that I am not the one who brought America into this conversation. Look it up, dummy. I am an engineer by training. I know what the problems are that going to happen, and which happen, when countries embark of expensive projects which they have no ability to maintain using local resources. Everything that causes that train to go, costs dollars. All the fares on that train, are in shillings. Use your empty head, and you will see what that train will be. Africa is full of white elephants like that. Countries like Greece and Serbia, are full of white elephants like that. Tanzania could have created a railway using the kind of technologies it has in existing rail lines. More importantly, it should invest in the local production of iron and steel, because from there to making its own rolling stock is not far away. Tanzania imported a very sophisticated machine, with zero technology transfer. The Chinese ran diesel trains of their own making. When they became richer, they invited the Germans and the French create high speed trains for them. The Chinese used that technology to build the greatest high speed network in the world. They could do that because they had the ability to absorb the technology

Tanzania(Tanganyika + Zanzibar) is a social construct that did not exist prior to 1964 . In January 1964 Field Marshall John Gideon Okello a Ugandan Luo-Langi led a revolution in Zanzibar that deposed the Omani Arabs led by Jamshid Bin Abdullah . The Omani Arabs had previously participated in the subjugation and enslavement of the local black bantu populations for at least 300-500 years .
@papd3532Ай бұрын
John Gideon Okello was shocked when he arrived in Tanzania after working in Kenya and being jailed in Kenya during the emergency(1952-60) period under white rule(500k-1million Black Kenyans displaced/died fighting for liberation) for suspicion of collaboration with the nationalists . At least 17K Arabs lost their lives and The Sultan fled to the UK with his family .
@papd3532Ай бұрын
Sultan Jamshid Bin Abdullah fled to the UK with his family and was exiled for 56 years . At 91 he was granted retirement in Oman in 2020 at the height of the pandemic . After the Zanzibar revolution Tanzania president Julius Nyerere and Kenya president Jomo Kenyatta fearing what had happened to the Sultan of Zanzibar conspired to have John Gideon Okello expelled from Tanganyika .
@papd3532Ай бұрын
He returned to Uganda and Disappeared under Idi Amin after Amin became suspicious of his activities in Uganda . Sheikh Abeid Karume of the Afro Shirazi became President of Autonomous Zanzibar after John Okello's exploits in the Island . They had both worked together under the Afro-Shirazi party .
