This was really helpful, thank you! I was curious - can you take the wheels off of the car seat if you are not near the base? I guess I'm curious if you go somewhere in a different car or away from the base and then for some reason decide you want the wheels off, can they pop off without setting the whole thing back on the base? Thanks!

No you can only take the wheels off from the base! I don’t think u can use it with the wheels without base tho

I watched an installation video from evenflo because I am thinking about getting this and wanted to know if i could use it without the base. They said you can take off the big wheels, and there is a hole for them at the bottom. I recommend looking at the video and checking your owners manual.

Do you know if the Shyft Dualride car seat (without the wheels) can be placed on a Uppababy Vista v2 (with adapters)?

If uppababy vista V2 has Evenflo adapters designed for v2 it could be possible but I haven’t seen any Evenflo adapters for vista V2, at least as far as I know Uppababy doesn’t have adapters for Evenflo

They don't sell the base separately as of yet. But they will on the future apparently.
