I does the same thing. I thought I got the brimstone handles but I guess I got the plain Jane titanium one so I made sure to order the brimstone one this time! Just got the plain Jain and it’s amazing! I gave my regular stinger(budget) to my boss at work. Imagine if they used magnacut or some other top tier steel you couldn’t keep them in stock!! It’s still amazing though! I was afraid the detent would be lacking but it’s perfect!! Just as good or better than the original budget stinger!! Detent is strong and perfect!!

So, I ended up getting one and it has quite a lot of button stick (sometimes becomes hard to press and then makes a loud ping noise) and I also worry about the longevity of a button lock compared to a more traditional frame or liner lock due to the spring under the button. How is it compared to the frame lock version? Are the ergos as comfortable and how does the detent compare? It is unfortunate that the frame lock didnt have an inlay on both sides though. One of my complaints about this button lock is that due to the smooth comfortable contouring with the small pocket clip, it often feels awkward in hand when trying to deploy the blade due to fear of it potentially slipping out of my hand, which further becomes an issue if my hands are sweating when needing to use the knife. The brimstone inlays make it such a beautiful knife and its SO comfortable to hold, but my concerns make me worry about using it long term and have me contemplating returning it for the frame lock version.

Come on brother, have u just not handled many top tier flippers? Even from Ferrum Forge, the archbishop 3.0 curb stomps the stinger. Let alone actual heavy hitters like the Sweeney by berg blades(I got the Damascus Sweeney #1. It’s laser etched on the inside of the backspacer which looks really cool when the blade is deployed. He even mirror polished the bearing track along the knife tang, even tho almost no one will ever see it. That is some next level attention to detail and it shows in the action. By far the smoothest, glassiest most luxuriously velvety action. It feels like you’re going on a luxurious vacation to the French alps to stay in your own private snow villa. Berg blades has been killing it, I also got his button barber last week and absolutely the best button lock I’ve ever handled

I've had the original Stinger liner locker in Nitro V since it was released in 2020. I haven't had any issues with it all.
