Thanks to your Fantastic videos on the Fimi Mini 3, I've purchased one from Bangood here in the Uk. Fantastic drone for the money, I've got an old DJI Mavic Platinum Pro from about 6 years ago and its surprising how the cameras have improved and the cost has come down. Hi Neil , don't discount the Platinum though , I have one too and to be honest , the picture on the Bird is still really good if you really concentrate on the Settings ! I was looking at my Video on my Platinum up to yesterday and the quality is still quite more True and Real than some of these more Modern Drones but I understand what you are saying cause with these Newer Ones , you don't have to do much settings to get a good picture , My Mini-2 is quite easy and simple to operate and with little to no settings of the camera , so I understand what you are saying .

Sadly the fimi mini filters won’t fit on the new fimi mini v3, because of the new one have a slightly different design. But i did a little mod by clipping the mount on the filters and stick it on the camera with blu tack and it works, but the downside is the filter can come off anytime because of not having proper mount on the camera🙂

Yes... but look at the specs... one step forward... 2 steps back.. only a 1/2" sensor and Zoom is still only in SAR mode... its basically an X8 SE 2022 V2 and the Pro has O.A. ... I won't be buying into this Hype either!

@@ssb73q : When I looked.. it did not have the user manual ready.. now on page 18 I see it explained. Before the only zoom mentioned was the 30X hybrid which was associated with SAR. But Page 18 highlights another good feature in Zoom... they slowed down YAW to correspond to zoom amount. I hope it is a smoother Zoom function than what is on the 2022's. But I guess I will never know 🤷‍♂ 🤣... I've asked for pricing but not holding my breath.

I wanted to ask you if the filters you ordered are the same as those for the x8 or another fimi model because I can't find specific filters for the mini 3. Greetings from Spain!

There are no after market filters for the Fimi Mini 3. The outer housing of the camera is not the same as on the X8 Mini.

I could see where the F-LOG could come in handy, for toning the colors down a bit, especially the greens. And hopefully add some extra dynamic range to the video. Great demo of how it looks, and thanks for sharing GM. And thanks for heads up on the new Pro Tele model.

Yes.. F-Log is a better option for those of us that post edit our footage... As for the Tele - I'm after Fimi on pricing now... I can't see it more than the X8 Pro... it's a total experimental unit and the none O.A. "Tele" should be around $419?? Hard pass for me unless I can get it for about $299.

Close but not quite right. What flat profiles (F Log, D log etc) do is just the same as what RAW photos do. Instead of trying to manage saturation and exposure to give you the most pretty image your digital camera can, it instead shoots every available bit of data the sensor picks up, and lets you come along afterwards and filter out what you don't want. The end result is washed out, low contrast, low saturation footage. Flog color profile save everything the sensor picks up, all at once, no polish. A LUT is a fast way to apply colour correction to that raw footage. A LUT is pretty much when you find settings in your color correction software that you like that work and hit "save as a preset." Been shooting flat video on fimi drones for 4 years now and they're great. And the DJI LUTs that come with Da Vinci (video editor) can all be used right out of the box, too.

The object is too small and too fast for tracking. The Fimi Tracking is not that great and usually lags behind not keeping centered but very jerky.

@@GorillamansGarage I tried the tracking and like you said it is kinda slow to follow and also loses you if you backtrack and go underneath the drone. But still pretty good at this price point. I still think ORBIT is the best. Much better than DJI. The possibilities are endless.

I am also waiting.. the camera is an old Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone. It takes the best overall footage I have found. I have tried many cameras but keep coming back to It.

@@superiskiausias : Nice.. One problem is .. 1440p is not a standard 2k size (only YT). I'd have to go 4k (2160) and have YT offer 4k, 2k etc. I can't do that because 4k takes to long to render. I don't know of an editor that has a standard 1440p setting. Powerdirector & Fillmora do not.

Im still not sure about what was going on with the color profiles. Is that part of Flog, or are those color profiles used in post production in your PowerDirector software? Also, which specific powerdirector program do you use? They seem to have a lot of options including some with AI which Im not interested in trying. My old version of Adobe tried to update, and now it wont start without buying a new update version.

Yes , addin LUT's (affects) are in post editing and I use Powerdirector.
