@@mrdude88 yep. I know it was a voice script duel. But there was a video of a voiced duel between Joey Wheeler and Ishizu Ishtar. The moment he played polymerization to fusion summon flame swordsman, he said it in his line that it was his favorite monster.

But the Black Eyes is owned later by Yugi Muto I remember, Joey said than he losed with the dirty Exodia player, and remained in Yugi's deck. And Joey focused better in his warrior-based cards.

@@christianfranco6597 true but don’t forget he somehow got red eyes back at the end. He dueled Yugi, but we never got to see the actual duel. He was using red eyes again during the seal orichalcos issue after the battle city tournament.

Now this is what I’m talking about! Konami showing more support to archetypes that actually need it. Just wish they would make changes to red eyes fusion at some point . Anyways love the content!

The reason of Red-eyes fusion have summoning restriction is becaue Red-Eyes Fusion was first release on the 2015 and on that time, a fusion card that can fuse monsters from the Main Deck, Field, and hand is just too OP. 😂 But the failure is... on that time, konami forgot of the red-eyes gemini monsters on the Main Deck and on the hand are not considered as Normal Monster, and this big fail making the player must have Archfiend Normal monster card just for fusion summon Black Skull Archfiend. 😅

Summoning 3 Red-Eyes -Flare Metal- Tax Dragon is pretty awesome since players only see LP as a resource and not the essence that keeps them alive.

With all the additional support that Kaiba's Blue Eyes and Yugi's Dark Magician/Buster Blader/Magnet Warriors/Summoned Skull/Gaia/Black Luster Soldier, have all gotten, it's awesome to see other characters like Joey get additional support for some of his best cards. I'd like to see Konami continue this trend w/ other boss monsters that Joey used, mainly Gilford the Lightning & Gearfried.
