Hi Bob - I've narrowed it down to two cars - slightly different ones - but looking at a 1.5 diesel Nissan Qashqai or a diesel from the Focus range - which would you pick?

You can adjust the sensitivity of the auto wipers by scrolling on the intermittent switch. In the highest position its the most sensitive and wipes more frequently.

My 2012 focus SEL is the most amazing car I have ever owned. After 8 years it still drives well with no other work other than oil changes and brakes and tires.

Two different cars there, Passat = Mondeo and Golf = Focus. From the choices I'd have the Focus because of the estate and that would suit me better, plus I like estates!

@Skeet1967 Hi Murphy, thanks for watching the videos. The Focus is a superb car, the estate version won't be out for awhile yet but it might be worth the wait. Opel/Vauxhall Ireland are a difficult company, I actually think they might be nervous of what I might say in videos. I have driven the Insignia that you are thinking of and I don't think it's near as good as the Focus, while it's nice looking space in the back is compromised. How about Volvo V50/60? Good cars and handsome.

The Qashqai is getting long in the tooth now, it's bouncy and the engine isn't as well sorted as some of the modern stuff out now. The Focus is new, the engine and chassis are perfect for 2012/2013, it's practical and well priced; go for the Focus

I cannot understand why the Focus attracts so much praise. I had a company 2012 1.6 Titanium diesel in Candy Red. The clutch bite point was far too high, and the gearchange from 1-2-3-3-2-1 was very notchy. Third is also very high such that I often had to change down to 2nd (notchily) as so little torque from the engine. Overall, the poor drive train spoilt the rest of the car. If i had paid £21k, I would have been mortified. As a company car, just put up with it. 6/10 at best.

@helenaustinfan no word on a 3 door standard version but there are plans for an RS/ST version so there might be a 3 door of those. I'm sure Ford will bring a sporty version out, there's always a fun Ford

I have the previous model and when i drove this new one i wasn't impressed and i decided not to trade mine. Still prefer mine because of the overall looks and the way it drives.

@TheOne42 From the three you picked it has to be the Focus, boaring but really well sorted car, the Elantra is in a class above as the i40 is a far better car if you can live with the light steering. Pound for pound I'd take an i40 estate :D

@hbpeinado On some systems the videos will sound different, when I listen to the video through speakers it sounds much different than listening through headphones (which is the way it's edited) I'll make sure to drop the music more the next time. Thanks for watching

i hate the jetta it dose everything well fine grand it has no flare or excitement the passenger would have to get out the optional glass hammer to hit the driver to keep him/her awake it's so dull alfa romeo 159 second hand much better

I can't apple auto spell fixes most of it the jetta is far to boring bland for humans fantastic is your a robot or a stone. Italian and brittsh (not layland) cars are for humans with feelings and want a car with style
