I think "Kaze" Is pronounced 'Kah-zay' If I'm not mistaken Kaze means Wind in Japanese, which I think is what dude is going for there? Idk, just thought I'd mention it. But yeah Kaze Emanuar has been around online doing Mario 64 stuff for the better part of like 10 years. SM64 had the best mechanics imo. Mario’s movement and abilities are way more fun before they nerfed him so hard in newer games. His wallkicks and his U Jump suck now. I will give odyssey points though for giving him his dive back with the new rolling mechanic which is nice.

The thing about frame rates and getting stuff like this to run on Nintendo 64 hardware is that game consoles were never the bottleneck. The limitation of graphics and framerates was much more in TV displays of that era, and game developers programmed around that, because it didn't matter if you COULD make something run at 60fps if the CRTs of the late 90s and early aughts were only good for 24 or 30 at most. tl;dr version: I'm not at all surprised that this can run on the original N64 hardware. I AM impressed at how amazing of a job Kaze did, however. This is exceptional work!

3D World is NOT the worst 3D Mario game. First of all, 3D Land exists, which is an objectively inferior version of World. Secondly, despite what nostalgia may say, 64 and Sunshine are the worst 3D Mario games. 64 gets a pass due to being the first attempt at a fully 3D game and how influential it was, and despite being terrible at the game, I've at least had a decent amount of fun with it. Sunshine, however, has ZERO excuse. The controls suck, the camera is awful, the lighting is mostly awful, the platforming is super easy due to FLUDD, and it has the most nightmarishly bad enemy design ever. You may think differently, and that's ok. But as someone who grew up with the last 5 3D games and their amazing controls and fun levels, going back to these two games is nearly impossible.

I will say this regarding Super Mario 3D World. It is by no means a bad game,however I will agree that yes it is the worst of the 3D Mario games. Personally the main complaint I had about 3D World was that I had to complete each stage with all of the characters and I don't get to enjoy the designs of each stage because of the timer.
