Hydro Blue is such an insane color. I think it looks even better here on the GC than the insane TRX. Maybe the two tone roof plays a part in that. It give me Range Rover Sport SVR vibes, which isn't bad company at all. I wish the Hurricane I-6 w/ 4Xe was ready, but I'd even like to see the standard turbo I-6 in the GC asap.

@@ikcewel agreed. I think they'll probably add the Hurricane soon, plus there is a 4Xe Hurricane on the horizon as well. It wouldn't surprise me if the 2.0T 4Xe becomes the standard engine soon since the Pentastar is just so-so in carrying the GC weight and the HEMI is glorious but just as thirsty as the Wagoneer.

Hats off to Jeep for this, that Hydro blue is one of the most stunning colors Ive ever seen. IMO $78k for this thing seems relatively reasonable for what it offers especially with the $7500 tax credit. It's basically an X5 alternative, but instead of being sporty and luxurious, it's off-road worthy and luxurious. Still will be quick though...

For $78K? No thanks. This looks like a ~$60K vehicle to me. For my money, I'd rather have a brand new Yukon XL Denali for $82K (I just built on one GMC's website). Jeep has come a long way with their products, though, I'll give them that. But, their pricing has also gotten out of hand.

Stunning! Hats off to jeep for upping their game and creating a fantastic new GC. This color is killer. Although Land Rover has had a similar color which was first offered in the RR Sport SRT for nearly a decade. That LR runs for 120k. 80k is not inexpensive for the jeep. But a fantastic value in todays auto market.

Glad I held off on placing my order for a 22 JGC Trailhawk (partly because they are still not accepting orders for the hemi equipped Trailhawk), as this Hydro Blue (not yet offered as an actually orderable color for the Trailhawk it seems, though certainly listed as an option on the Jeep's Build & Price) looks incredible and is now a leading contender for my choice for my build (again, once/if it becomes available for the Trailhawk).

I like how that aluminium rail in the roof of these New Grand Cherokees is colour coded out in the black roof on that High Altitude version. That’s the one thing I don’t like about the new design generally and it’s not accentuated here. The blue colour is sick as well with that biscuit interior👍

The HA is a good package. I had a 2020 JGC HA and now a 2023 Summit with the HA package……one minor zonk would be the the 21” wheels. Suspension should have been designed with the 22” wheels….great design just 20 and 22” tires are a lot easier find. I love the blacked out accents and the darker wheels….blends in perfect with the Baltic Grey paint. The two tone paint with the gloss black above the belt line would normally be a deal breaker for me……with the Baltic Grey or darker main body paint. Good call bringing back the HA package for the JGC…..if JGC engineers are listening keep the same pattern on the HA package wheels but bring up to 22” got the MY2024…..I would probably swap my 21” wheels out for a set of 22”

The interior is amazing, Jeep absolutely nailed it. The new Grand Cherokee as a whole is a home run in my opinion. I’m a Ford person, but Ford should be embarrassed by the Explorers interior compared to this.

As much as I like this I like the 4Runner just as much because it is simple,rugged and has a bullet proof powertrain, something neither the Jeep nor the explorer can say. There’s something to be said about perfecting something and not always reinventing the wheel and that’s something I admire about certain Toyotas. And the Explorer, especially the new one survives because of fleet and police sales. The previous generation Explorer was much better than this generation especially when it comes to the interior. When you are competing with vehicles like this, the Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride, the current Explorer interior is an absolutely joke.

@@marcg.3830 of course an engine is going to be bulletproof… when it lacks power! I worked for Toyota for several years. If you stick to the actual maintenance schedule, you will spend much more than you will on a Hyundai/Kia. The Hype of Toyotas still has me baffled, driving dynamics are horrid, the real glimmer of hope is the resale value. Even if the Jeeps were to break a few times, I would prefer them every single chance. Power and capability means a lot more to myself. Jeep 3.0 I-6 now packing 510HP! >>>> T4R 4.0 270HP… lame… Oh and a 5-Spd auto… seriously? I have been saying since the early 80’s when I was 5 years old “more gears!” Here we are in 2022 and T4R is a 5-SPD… No thanks!

It's the top of the range grand Cherokee. For over 75k as that one is equipped it she as hell better look good inside. The explorer tops out at 60 for a King ranch. 25% more money should buy a much nicer interior.

There are SO many problems with the new GCL and GC. Before you buy one, visit your local dealer’s service department and tell them you’re considering buying one and watch their reaction/ask their opinion. Wait a couple years for them to finish this product and fix the endless issues.

The question you need to ask Jim is how quick can I get parts for this truck if something breaks. I have a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Overland and it needed a new front differential so it took 6 months to get it not acceptable!

According to my jeep dealer today, they're already done taking GC 4xe orders FOR THE WHOLE YEAR. They've been trying to order mine for a month but we're told yesterday they cannot order until next model year. So either the CEO is wrong about when you can order or there a problem with dealers being informed about ordering.

The problem is you can't get the air suspension from Jeep at this time. ON the fence to get a new GC or GCL, but no air is a turn off.

Just picked up my Jeep Sahara eTorque 4 door. Just could justify the $10,000 for the 4Xe, plus I wanted a 6 cylinder not a 4 banger, just smoother and less engine noise.

You obviously didn’t buy the jeep from someone who knew anything about the product of you couldn’t justify the extra $10k. The tax rebate alone saves you $7500. If the gas savings save you $200/mo (saves me about $600/mo) then the last $2500 would be made up in 12.5 months. The 4xe also is smoother, faster, more powerful, and more fun than the 3.6L. Not to make you feel bad, I just took your comment as a challenge

Great job Jeep but they should have used the all black High Altitude to show off the monochromatic look of the No Chrome High Altitude Package. The build quality on these new ones is significantly better. The issues Stellantis/FCA/Chrysler/Jeep has always had is reliability over time. A 5 year old vehicle shouldn't rattle and break like a 25 year old vehicle and thats their legacy. Let's hope this is a game changer for Jeep.

Generally speaking, prices are MUCH higher than just four years ago. My '18 Trailhawk started at $43,295. This new gen Trailhawk is $54,630! It's over $11,000 more now! New platform, more refined, but practically, there's not a lot of difference in features. And, except 4xE, the drivetrain is carry-over! Add the V8 and lux group and you're up to $60K for TH. Plus, in '18 they didn't charge for paint ($400 now), and destination charge is an outrageous $1800 now ($1100 in '18). Unreasonable gouging for what cannot be described as Toyota levels of quality. No thanks.

To ship a car across the country would cost maybe $600 in 2018, now that same transport cost would be 3x that much. Hard to call 25% price increases over 4 years “gouging” when all levels of supply and logistics have gone up significantly more than 25%, not to mention inflation making the dollar more worthless by the day. @@Thisisjbrock That's a naïve assessment. You must be talking private shipping. Factory shipping rates are not that high. My friend recently bought a new Porsche. The car was shipped by sea from Germany, via the Panama Canal, and up to Northern Cal. It was then put on a truck and shipped down to San Diego. Even Porsche only charged $1100 destination charge - last year. This preparation and destination charge has always been a profit center, and now it is unnecessary gouging from Jeep, like I said.
