Great vid guys per usual. This was the first mod I did to my G82 M4C. For some reason BMW loves a 4X4 gap on xdrive models and it just looked so odd when I picked up my car here in the States. I had to remedy it asap.

Very interested in this mod. Can you tell me how noticeable are any changes to the ride quality/ comfort and handling? Is it a lot harder? Is steering affected? I’m uk based so may well be in touch
@EvolveAutomotive Жыл бұрын
Very minimal differences to standard, especially for the big aesthetic upgrade.
@sandervn7836 Жыл бұрын
Isn’t it going to ruin the balance of the car by fitting different springs on the front only? Was looking at the same for my BMW F30, but didn’t do it due to the balance thing
@lami150sx Жыл бұрын
Think the general consensus is the back of the new M3 is already low enough unlike the M4 where the front and back springs need to be fitted, mines are going on next Monday
@gpaje Жыл бұрын
@@lami150sx He question was probably more to the balance of the spring rates and how it handles. This appears to be a cosmetic mod, which could affect the handling of the car.
@Mac_F87 Жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure Eibach will have matched the spring rates so as not to create a handling imbalance.

Is that socket needed to remove the strut mount?
@mattssi Жыл бұрын
Why did you take the entire strut out this time instead of the other method you typically use?

is there any rubbing in the front fender liner vents from a 12mm front spacer with the lowering springs? i have a g80 on order with the oem m performance suspension which has about the same drop as the eibach. i heard that it can rub the front vent blades on full lock in reverse.
@EvolveAutomotive2 ай бұрын
It can yes, either heat and bend them, cut them out or replace with an aftermarket mesh.
@timnotzon8805Ай бұрын
I’ve heard the same. Are the spacers required to prevent rubbing?

@EvolveAutomotive Жыл бұрын
Contact whoever supplied them (hopefully us!) via email and ask them to check your part number. That could well be an internal code that is unrelated to the product code/car fitment.

BMW Spend millions getting as close as possible to perfection I know the gap in the front arch is a little annoying but I feel safer sticking to the factory set up
@EvolveAutomotive Жыл бұрын
They spend millions to conform to many countries regulations not to make the perfect car.
@ertugrulbae46 Жыл бұрын
For car handling, the ride height and suspension set up needs to match. E.g. you can't go for a super strict set up when there's less space for the suspension to move during compression and expansion. If the ride height is too low..it can cause juddering. But I believe BMW did this, only so they can "lower it further" on the CS/CSL models. Basically reserving a lower height for them.

They dont spend billions on R&D on real life driving and longevity.... The consumer does that for free... Stock setups are for only like 200k miles. Eibach ALSO does R&D on real life driving with stock oem. Haha

The car looks great, but lowering a street car is always a tough decision. I know because every time I see a speed bump .. I 💩 myself 😉
@EvolveAutomotive Жыл бұрын
This is a quite mild lowering amount, and you wouldn’t have many issues. Our G82 M4 and G81 M3 are both much lower than this and even then with some consideration to the bumps there is no issue.
