With the new BMW G80 M3 just being released, everyone here at Precision Sport Industries all instantly had a few things in mind to change the look of the car. After a ton of conversations and research and development, we connected with AST Suspension and created a Beta test set of AST lowering springs to drop the car! These springs paired with the spacers transformed the entire look of this beast... be on the look out for the next G80 video where we will continue our modifications.
We have this kit available on our website at precision-sport.com/products/...

2 things... 1. In my experience with lowering springs on bmw's (E46, E92, F30, F87) the passenger rear (LHD) tends to sit a little higher (maybe 1/4-1/2 inch) than the driver rear for whatever reason, so it's important to get either adjustable springs, or to have non-adjustables that account for this. Whether or not this applies to the G80 is unknown, but I think you guys should have measured all 4 corners to see the final height, not just two corners to see the amount of drop. 2. The fronts are definitely sitting higher than the rears and need more of a drop than the rears. I'd say 1.25-1.5 front and .75-1.0 rear would be perfect.

Everything you guy did was perfect but I think what the complaint seems to be would be better fixed by running 20" rims all round. The stance is perfect but the front has the illusion of needing to go lower due to the tyre gap but I feel it's the rim size not filling the wheel arch as much as the back.

I just got a 2022 G80. 19s front 20s Back with Mich 4s. From what i understand, the Pereli's are not the best tire for spacers on this car. Im thinking of doing spacers on it mainly for that front indentation which is pretty bad im think of going 12 all around. However, im not understanding why you would use diff size spacers on the front and back? Are the front wheels not the same distance apart as the back? If the car is stanced that way, wouldn't you want to keep that same distance by justing doing 12mm all around?
@PrecisionSportIndustries
@PrecisionSportIndustries 2 жыл бұрын
We recommend 12 in the front and 10s in the rear for the flush fitment look without having issues with rubbing. With the Pirellis we have seen people have issues going up to a 15mm in the front especially when lowered. The difference in spacers comes down to the look you are going for. The front and the back require the difference due to falling differently in the wheel wells.

Why don't you guys increase tire profile instead of lowering the car to fill the wheel gap ? That's what i did on E92/E93/F33 and it looks way better, i gain a tiny more rim protection against pot holes and speed bumps, more confort, and i don' t crack rims anymore

If you want to destabilize your car do it. There's a reason why that this car was built like that, every step was taken in precision. Every gap every bulge of this car was made for a reason. I wouldn't recommend dropping it, you may have your own knowledge about cars but that doesn't mean you know better than its engineering department. Not everything that looks cool is actually cool some cool stuff is just a waste of every effort.
