@VRitasium24 күн бұрын
@zomgpie2 I have to agree with you on the floating hands. I would also very much preferred to have a full body option (or at least arms). Regardless, even with the floating hands its way more immersive / realistic / intense than just be sitted looking at a flatscreen.

VR has made flat games feel, well-flat. Once you experience the depth and immersion of 3D, there's no going back to staring at a lifeless 2D screen. Flat experiences feel hollow, lacking the presence and impact VR brings. I crave that extra layer, the sense of being in the world rather than just looking at it. Flat games just can’t compare to the richness and fullness VR delivers.

@jackschnabel85612 күн бұрын
Absolutely! My favorite VR game ever. It doesn't have a story really, but it's gameplay loop is going exploring until you're full on loot or out of some critical resource and then returning to base to re-organize, re-stock, even clean and repair your weapons. It's very meticulous, with you individually loading bullets into magazines, and having limited magazines to juggle. You need to learn your gear and resource management to a greater degree than most other games

SkyrimVR could be fixed with mods and it has proper ENB support. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for FO4VR. Don't hold your breath for ever getting an ENB to fix the lighting, and due to the low popularity i don't think modders will ever fix the engine problems. As a VR gamer myself, i can only say: if you wanna play FO4, play it flat with one of the Wabbajack modlists.

@marcdwonn9772 It was one of the first vr games I bought because I just got my first headset right before it released. I was so disappointed. The novelty of it wears thun super quick and its I've gone back to it a couple of times to see if it has gotten better, it hasn't. It's also a very vr sickness inducing game, and I don't feel that in a lot of other games.

Legitimately curious-why do some people say 'Oh, VR… Nope'? Is it the medium itself, the price barrier, or maybe the comfort factor? I get that change can be hard for us humans, but I'm wondering what makes people dismiss VR as a platform, especially when it gets great games. Isn't it kind of like console/PC exclusivity in that sense?
@archduke000024 күн бұрын
Because VR isn't truly immersive yet and probably won't be for decades.
@marcdwonn977224 күн бұрын
As someone who plays both VR and flat games, i think it's mainly the comfort factor. Nothing beats sitting down with pizza and beer (or a salad and vodka in the case of STALKER 2, which i play currently :) and immerse yourself in the game. But there are times i want to be more active and then i really enjoy playing in VR (usually flat games converted to VR, because great native VR games are really rare).
