The New Michelin Red MTB Trail is open! | Llandegla, Wales

Official opening of the new Michelin flow trail! Here we ride the new Red MTB trail at Llandegla in Wales. Massive berms, flow top to bottom and jump opportunities - it's not one to be missed! We then continue on and finish on the black and red jump lines back to the event base at the Llandegla One Planet Adventure trail centre.
The Michelin trail is accessed from the blue route and can be found after the rollercoaster descent. You wont' miss it with the big Michelin sign! It's a short red graded trail of about a minute depending on the rider and it's easy to stop and session sections. Perfect for dialling in the berms or practising your corering technique. Or you could have a go at setting a time on the Strava segment which is marked at the start of the trail!
Llandegla is in northern Wales and has a great set up on site. There is a shop, cafe, bike wash and plenty parking. There are also trails for everyone including family friendly green and blue routes. The other jump lines we rode are called JJ's Jumps and B-Line. They naturally form part of the same route so you can hit both. We then finish this video with footage back on the red trail to the centre where there was a Michelin star chef cookng up burgers and a lovely porsche to eye up!
Etnies were on site too with their range of MTB shoes and of course the Michelin tyre range was on display too. You'll see more of Michelin around Llandegla as they now sponsor the trail centre. Hope you enjoy this video and drop a comment below!

Thanks! Great scoop too! Degla stands out to me for being fast, if you want it to be. So, flow is at its heart. It’s not hard so get round, but it does take decent skill and fitness to get round smoothly with style and pace. And that new Red needs my attention soon 👌

You got Glentress in the Tweed Valley but its not the same, and I'm fed up with 90min+ drives from Glasgow to get anywhere half-decent!

I did think this trail and the jump lines were great. It would be good to have more jumps like this to practice on and some berms! I think the new fort William blue will have that but it’s a hell of a drive 😅. I can relate to that! I moved from Glasgow to be closer to the trails and stop myself driving every week 😂 sometimes I was there 3 times a week 🙈

But I agree after doing BPW followed by Dyfi over that last two weekends, it would be lovely to have a bike park full of flowy berms and jumps nearer home...

Great video and a beautiful track! Any idea of the new Michelin Wild Enduro Racing line tyres ? They're weighing in at 1380 grams each!! Are they supposed be better rolling than Wild Enduro because to me they seem very heavy! Thanks, Adrian

Thanks! I’ve not tried them but as I understand they are meant to be the best of the dh range combined with the wild enduro. A few people run the dh22/34 combo which naturally don’t roll great on the pedals so the racing line is giving a wild enduro tread pattern with dh casing and rubber 👍

Believe so. Haven't been recently but see it's still ridden regularly on Strava. We accessed it off the blue trail when it comes out the trees and you can't miss it from there. There may be a better loop/ way to ride all the trails and get to it but you'll spot it from the blue

I personally don't like degla as I don't think the climbs are worth the travel and how uninspiring the downs are, it's just not my kind of riding but that new line looks decent nevertheless. Also I believe it's pronounced clandegla or at least that's what I was told lol

Yeah that’s fair! It’s very much trail centre. I tend to ride natural stuff but I did enjoy this new one and the jump lines and would definitely go if I was nearby and it was a local. Defo gotta enjoy pedalling and trail centre stuff to travel for it. Haha I knew I had that pronunciation wrong! Every Wales vlog will be like this haha

I’m with you. It’s not a bad centre, but the trail grading is all wrong. I’ve ridden blues that are 5 times harder than llandegla black.
