I live near the "Vertical Forest". I saw this regeneration project from the beginning. In few years they transformed an abandoned area in the city centre into a new vibrant district, the new beating heart of Milan. It is a very succesfull project, it is always full of people, families, old people and children walking and enjoying this new part of Milan. A new area in Milan like this one is "Citylife", where residential complexes, three new skyscrapers and a new big park replaced the old fair of Milan. But it is not the end. New projects are going to start in other areas of the City: "Scalo Farini" (a huge abandoned rail yard), "Scalo di Porta Romana" an other Rail yard in the South part of the city centre (the Olimpic village will be constructed here, if Milan will win 2026 Winter Olimpic Games on 24th of June 2019), "MIND" which is a project that is already under contruction in the area of Milan's Expo 2015 (a new hospital, a new university, a new research centre and other offices will take place here), new underground lines, new rail stations are also under construction. Milan is one of the most dinamic city in Europe!

Best and underrated city in the world for living. Best heathcare system, transport system, best food 🇮🇹 🔝 About bosco verticale: the choice of construction solutions with high-performance and environmentally friendly materials, the use of renewable sources for energy production and the use of water recycling systems deriving from other and different uses, avoiding the consumption of drinking water for irrigation of vegetation. This skycrapes is not a simple building but it' s a symbol of innovation not only for Milan but for entire world. MILAN has been and allways will be THE CITY of innovation. Others Bosco Verticale in all the world are coming up.

0:04 the feather-hatted guys behind are members of the "Alpini" ("Alpine soldiers"), a branch of the Italian Army specialized in mountain infantry. They battled with pride during WWI, and the rave feather was their distinctive feature

The motivation behind the building's architecture is admirable but I don't care for its aesthetic.

Globalization at it's finest, this is a trend in architecture across the world not just Milan. It's the first step in a culture losing its identity, especially for Italy this is sad as they have such a rich and identifiable style. Pretty soon every city will look the same.
