The old main street of Iloilo City was JM Basa. We called that Calle Real. In early 1970’s there were cinemas and bookstores and small restaurants and clothes shops. JM Basa starts from Capitol to Freedom grandstand. And in late 1937 the domestic airport was opened in Manduriao. So many memories of Iloilo City.

st. dominique/honore near the parking building 1 have the best-looking exterior and interior. units are a bit standard though. megaworld did good with this township. ayala's development nearby is so meh. it's nothing to scoff at but compared to MW...eh. they do have a bigger land on the outskirts bordering the next town...something to look forward to. however, to anyone actually interested in getting a unit in iloilo and not in a hurry, wait for a local developer's project. it's in a very very prime location across s&r and sandwiched between sm, mw, and ayala. crazy good location. unfortunately, no concrete dates yet despite it being released a few years ago. but afaik, it's still on. ooh i forgot...for some reason i was expecting a garin farm vlog today since you probably passed by it.

Grand Hyatt Manila stands 318 meters including the antenna on its rooftop with 66 floors count. its just only 66flrs. since its ceiling to floor height is at 4-5meters high but if they adjust it on the standard floor to ceiling height Grand Hyatt Manila would probably houses to 75-80stories respectively.

Hilarious. Starbucks is watered down, overpriced coffee. There is no "upping" their game. Support local, dude. There is a cafe stall upstairs serving good cafe. Sadly, these cool looking pop-up coffee trikes are all show. The staff are not trained baristas. So....if you're gonna have crap coffee, might as well get it from locals and small businesses instead of a big bloody corporation.

The new place where Festive Walk is, was developed by Megaworld. It used to be the airport but converted as a business park while the airport was transferred outside of the city the old airport was closed in 2007. Afterwhich construction of the Iloilo business park started. Just can't remember when it opened. It is 72 ha of land that now housed the iloilo convention center, mall, condos, hotels and offices.

Nong bata ako, (1990s) pagbanggitin mo ang mga lugar sa Visayas sa mga Tagalog, wala silang alam o sasabihin nila na probinsya daw ang lugar. Nong pumunta ako sa Bulacan (2007s) ndi pa cementado ang kalsada at ma alikabok, walang mga modern mall maliban sa iilang bayan o city? Hanggang ngayon, mahina ang pag unlad ng lugar (2024). Samantala ang mga capital citys ng Visayas at mindanao ay maunlad tulad ng Maynila. Cebu, bacolod, Davao city.
