the sickle is better than both shot guns plus you dont have to reload as often if you know how to use it. you can reload it like a normal weapon or reserve ammo and it does great at crowed control. just because a weapon says more damage dont mean better 55 damage at 750 rpm 30 rounds of sickle ammo is 1630 damage per clip it also has a faster reload if you over heat so over all its a much better crowd control weapon. your not gonna take down bile titans and chargers very fast with any primary so might as well use that slot for crowd control

I prefer the slugger to the sickle. having stagger and penetration on medium armor is just so useful. the sickle is great for hunter crowd control but really fails against armored spewers and hive guards

What I do is use the sickle and the lazer cannon both are infinite and you can basically keep switching between both and use the secondary allot

In helldiver difficulty is where it starts to suck but it’s better than running out of ammo with a shotty or the weaker starter gun and the accuracy is a big plus because of the low recoil “very good mid tier gun”

Use this with the stun grenades and it’s actually very great because eventually they’ll get very close to you lol

I just got the slugger and I want to like it but that crowd control is a killer with the build Im running. I would basically have to cover it another way which just doesn’t feel worth it.

The sickle seems to be a better option for Bugs. Still love the slugger for bots though.

I use a Rover Guard Dog along side it... It helps a ton with CC. Gives you more of the ability to ignore more of the little stuff you just have to try and keep a distance from the horde as you take out the bigger stuff and let the Rover deal with the little stuff and jumpy shit.

Disagree, its painfully slow and terrible for swarms. Its not very often you get the liberty of dealing with a couple of targets here and there. The breaker is better The spray and pray is better again I really dont see what the piont of this gun is unless you have a stalwart or mg that can wipe up 99% of enemies. This gun is for the 1% of enemies

if you hit most of your shots, its very good. I run it on helldive for bugs just fine. ems strike, orbital gatling, 500kg, and EATs with the slugger and machine pistol in single fire mode for the small bugs. OR just use an arc thrower with it
