ALSO! Chris is the coolest person when you’re face to face. Every time I’ve gotten a chance to actually talk to him he’s super soft spoken and down to earth. 10/10 recommend buying VIP tickets to a show or going out of your way to try to meet them. This is one instance where “don’t meet your heroes” does not apply.

Just saw them live with INK 2 days ago. Best concert ever. Chris was super genuine and apologized in advance in case he lost his voice and needed help from the crowd since It was his first show in 2 years I think he said. This was in LA. He absolutely killed It. Last song the entire crowd was singing and he just stood by staring and almost looked like he had tears of joy falling from his face. Truly amazing concert. i will admit when i first heard this song i was like "man those instrumentals go so hard at first, it's a bummer there isn't more screaming" but that's just the first half of the song, and honestly when you listen to the whole thing the dynamic works out since they don't throw all they have right away, the tension of the vocals is built softer at first to be harder later, and it definitely is more dynamic and would work with more audiences than just going super hardcore the entire time.

This was a grower for me. My boyfriend just surprised me with tickets to see motionless, ice nine kills, and black veil brides in Maine April 14th and I'm so pumped! The 14th is our daughter's 6th bday and we r taking her to the concert (yes she's young but motionless is one of her favorite bands to listen to and she LOVES loud music) she's so excited. @Alex i don't expect a response, but the answer to your question begins at 5:45, immediately after asked. Chris Cerulli has this haunting technique where his voice ascends a sort of crooked scale in the line, "and drift as one through the infinite" which ends in a prolonged scream. I lack the technical nomenclature, but it's brilliant and instills in the song a sense of swelling drama and perhaps a bit of theatrically in the operetically emphasized "apoco-lips". As you say, it's a melding of metal genre.
