I have a battery powered G-Shock. It notifies you when the battery is on the way out. Simple replace it and your good to go. I've always had ample time to replace battery when it notifies you. All these people bashing not buying cause no solar have no idea of this function. Also if your worried about the seals integrity after a battery change well you've failed doing a simple task and probably 100% not for you. This watch is the greatest value G-Shock there is period. For all the functions it has.

Got the orange , about a month ago, Just a complete AWESOME watch !!!! I love it !!!!! Been buying watches 35 years, and this one is right up there , have an average size wrist , when I put it on, it just pops !!!! Fit , Look, Feel , everything... Fabulous watch ❤️

Comparing an $800 watch to a $300 watch. A lot of complaints about no solar but the GG B100 is priced in a different class. Both are obviously great just depends how much money you wanna drop

I think it is best present for my father. He works in the thread factory so there is much dust. And step counter is fit to him because he walks around for exercise. And battery.. it’s okay I will sometimes visit G-SHOCK center for changing the battery.

Exactly, I don't know why everyone is butt-hurt about the battery. For all the tech you get, you can still get the battery changed in a day 2 years from now like no big thing. People need to chill with their almighty demands..

@@burner188 I still love it, and either wear this or my 5610 with full metal case/bracelet. It's worth it for $300, but with GBD-H1000 coming out in a month or two, you may want that depending on your needs. I'll be getting that as well, though it has some redundant sensors as the GG-B100.

Uhm, a gshock solar will turn into save mode at 10pm that its digital display will be off, you show it one second to the light in the morning and it will be wake up again..not even to mention that all its syst including the hand will be paused to 12 o clock after 6 day being unused. A full charged solar could stand to 6 month without any light. Own one first

That's normal, because it uses " *G-SHOCK Connected* ". On this app', all of watches can't stay connected, like the others which are connected with " *G-SHOCK MOVE* " (like others *G-SQUAD* collection : *GBD-100* or *GBD-H1000* )...

You have to take off the resin case on the back, only after take off the resin bands black protections via their screws

Yes, choose wisely! I picked the green because I already have a black watch and I liked the gold accents. Also the white hour markers "pop" more in low-light than the lite grey.

I bought the watch in orange color, it is great looking watch, really beautiful stands on wrist. But I think that thermometer is not that precise, I think Casio has a lot of work to fix that. Anyway I would recommend watch to everyone.

Hello friend, I have the watch too and the thermometer is incredibly accurate. You do have to remove the watch from your wrist so it can acclimate without being so close to a heat source (your wrist). I put mine on a room thermostat and lasered it with my IR temp gun, then adjusted the acclimated value of the watch in 0.2 increments. Now it's accuracy is flawless! How that helps you out 👍👍

After 2 months the hands, light, compass ,baro, temperature, alti etc. stop to working. Won't connecting with my phone also. Only the date and lcd time working . This watch a rubbish..Not even worth 3 euros . Nobody buy it! Waste of money!

Kinda like the design, although it has the bluetooth function, it doesn't appear to have the atomic update (MB6) and I don't like that it has no solar charging feature. I would wait to see if they update or make an upgraded model.

This also allows for different variations, levels and price points... if you look at their popularity, sales and growth over the last 35 years, they know what they're doing.

@@fredminpin besides, BT negates atomic for accuracy and you don't have to be in range of signal, so greater popularly will have greater accuracy. It takes an hour to change the battery after 2 years of continuous use. It's cost saving, yes, but unbearable? No.

They are nice watches, I bought one. (Actually, a B-day gift from my Wife.) But, there are two things to consider. When the time gets out of sync, the app. does not reset. They say it will be totally out soon. The manual (online) only give directions to reset it w/ the app. When this happens, I have to call customer support. Nice watch, though.

Go on Amazon and look up casio they have huge selection of casio watches, 25$ under! I have a casio world time, with resin case , simple but 25$ I really do like the carbon bezel! My 25$ special comes with a 10 year battery and the case is black And the band is flat blue! I call it my mini frogman!
