You gotta highlight dudes like herb jones when talking pelicans got them currently a top 8 defensive team and others as well like trey murphy, larry nance, dyson, and naji good video still
@jimmymcmillan33129 ай бұрын
Herb definitely should have been mentioned. CJ and BI haven't been known for their defense. Everyone thought Zion would be a great defender but he's been disappointing until this year. Herb is a future DPOY and the captain of their defense. It's because of him setting the tone and communicating on defense that has the rest of the starters are playing so much better

It’s so good seeing this team getting respect, well deserved
@jimmymcmillan33129 ай бұрын
You really need to talk about Herb Jones when talking about the Pels success on defense. None of the rest of the starters had a reputation for being good defenders at the start of the season. Herb is their leader on that side of the court and has BI, Z, CJ, and JV playing up to their full potential
@jimmymcmillan33129 ай бұрын
Herb held De'Aaron Fox to 3 POINTS and 4 TURNOVERS when they played the Kings

Herb is real defensive phenomen. BI and JV also stepped up,but Herb is the admiral!

Good vid young guy on the only Association team I follow. However, the real glue guy is Herb Jones, who is an alien defender & emerging talents like Trey Murphy & rookie Jordan Hawkins. All are hitting open 3 because of the gravity of Z & BI. Everyone is saying the Pels need rim pertection, but this year guys are not getting to the rim. The Pelicans are shooting 38% from 3 while leading the league with defending the 3 ball at less than 33%. They are now starting to take more 3s.

Coaching is average.... Defense is one key.... Herb Jones, and Dyson Daniels are elite Defenders who are improving on the offensive end. You also forgot about the shooters (floor spacers)... Trey Murphey and Jordan Hawkins....exceptional three point shooters...Larry Nance Jr... significant contributor to the small ball lineup, Nahji Harris.... a versatile wing with size... with good defensive intensity.
@OKevinO129 ай бұрын
Spot on. The pelicans would have more wins if they can finish the game better. Also Naji Marshall, idk who Hahji Harris lol
@waing1089 ай бұрын
yeah...their problem is on coaching side more than players side....

With better coaching in the 4th,Pels would be top of the West easily.

Brandon Ingram isn’t a number 1 and never will be, all the talent in the world to be it even shows flashes but isn’t aggressive enough and doesn’t have that “IT” factor proof is what he’s done tonight which isn’t a once In a while thing. Hopefully Zion stays in shape and in the offseason gets into the best he can because he can and should be the number 1 no questions ask and when he doesn’t perform well it’s because of his shape not rather he has IT or not. This pelicans team is good but there’s another level to be taken as a serious contender They aren’t there yet, but do have the assets that won’t be such good assets anymore because they haven’t and probably won’t use them to improve and pelicans will be a first round exit at best until they realize they need to stop Being cheap and build a better which is a solid team around Zion

The huge problem! Zion is holding the team back by not fully committing to the team. They had to put a weight clause in his contract. I don't understand how you make millions on your job and you can't lose 15- 25 pounds of fat

Warrior's are a shitty team at the moment do not use them as a measuring rod. Zion will be a bast if he does not check his weight... Mark my word
