Cerebrates are simply not mobile enough for a dynamic war, and without the Overmind providing respawning, they are massive targets of opportunity. The major issue with the new Brood Queens is that they got caught between the narrative and multiplayer unit design needs, and both sides suffered for it. One of the design implementations I always wanted was that queens would be spawned from a hachery directly, with queens being limited to one-per-hachery. But Zerg in SC2 had such lackluster anti-air, that they had to be repurposed into a generic unit that then had to be shoehorned-in lore-wise.

@@GeneGear More mobile and Independent but with much less power and not that cool (xD). Cerebrates was close to power level of Kerrigan that's why she can't control them at all and revive them. Overall swarm became more mobile but weaker without Overmind

when i played this mission i specifically wanted to NOT just go mass air for a few reasons. 1. there's Zerg AND Protoss here. with no limitations on tech because you already had pretty much all Z tech, it's completely possible to make all kinds of ground Zerg. that means that not only could i play with Hydras, Ultras, Defilers, and Lurkers, in a ZvP, but also a ZvZ, and that's just way too fun to pass up on. 2. i wanted to save massing BCs for the last mission :D 3. Mass air just seemed like it'd be way too easy with Devourers AND Valkyries supporting BCs and Guardians. that is just way too strong of a combo. 4. GROUND ZERG SUPPORTED BY MEDICS!!!! :D

I knew I was correct when I said that the Terran and Zerg combo are very overpowered not just strategy-wise (Battlecruisers + Guardians is my favorite) but also in the total amount of units you can have. Also, Terran + Zerg > Protoss + Zerg, the Protoss should stop simping for Kerrigan. Edit: fixed spelling.

@@FlymanMS The thing is, Terran and Zerg have powerful defensive abilities in the late game (Dark Swarm and Defensive Matrix) For Protoss, only Hallucination and Recall came to mind, and they are not even strictly defensive.

Zealot + Medic with some Marines tossed in is hands down the most disgusting early game combination. Not even Hydralisks+Medics can compare. But lategame T+Z combinations are just too much of a nutcase, like Science Vessel + Ultras, or Devourer+Valks, or BC+Guardians. T+P only has the Royal Stove which is hilarious but not the best. I guess it would've been great if SCVs could repair P units especially Dragoons early game, or Skytoss in lategame, but unfortunately not allowed.
