We were blown away by how much people loved our Monster box for its storage capacity, clamshell opening and work table. People loved it so much that they wanted us to make it in a more compact "Large" size in addition to the XL Monster. Enter the Mini-Monster. The only thing mini about this box is its name. The Mini-Monster Box is the same size as our standard Large Expeidiont box (the most popular van box in the world).
The Mini-Monster shares all the details that made the Monster box so popular. It is constructed entirely of aluminum, pre-drilled for the B2, and trail-tested to last a lifetime.
Size - 30"-Tall/24"-Wide/16"-Deep
Dual-Fold Door - We not only wanted to maximize storage but the MM also have our pioneering dual-fold doors. The bottom door folds down providing a stable working area for setting up a grill, food prep or many other tasks. The top door folds up and allows for use of an LED light. Now when you're working at night you can see your work area with just a tap.
Gear Plates - On the front of the Monster box is Owl's signature hold and slot design allowing you to mount your must-have small trail accessories.
Weight - All aluminum construction means this giant box is still lightweight, less than 60lbs
Mounting - While the Monster box can mount to almost anything, it is pre-drilled for the Owl B2 (the recommended mounting structure)
Adjustable Shelf - The Monster box comes standard with an adjustable shelf that can be moved up and down. Additional shelves can be can be purchased separately.

You should consider making the lower door a foldable ladder to facilitate loading the bikes on the racks that are often on top of the box.

Looks great John, keep on innovating! And a good job on the description on the website as well. Can you please add the weight of some of your other boxes in their descriptions? All indicate load capacity but several are missing what they weigh. This would be helpful when comparing across sizes. Thanks

Hi!!! One question: In USA is allowed to carry things in the back of the cars that covers the rear lights? I love your stuff but where I live (Portugal) we can’t cover the back lights with stuff unless we have other lights mounted overhead.

I love the high mounted bike rack but I wish the bikes would sit centered on the back. Have Owl considered a cantilever mount to center the OneUp racks?

Does this Mini Monster Box lock for security purposes on the road? Does it come with keys? Can you put padlocks on the handles or where does it lock?

This is a sleeker design and does not have a padlock option. You could easily add one after the fact if you wanted.

Flatline makes counterfeit versions of our products in China. Our boxes are made here in the USA. No comparison to Chinese gear. Hope that helps

Can you slap a roto pax on the side of that mini? My dog is named Monster and I call him Mini Monster 😀

We don't pre-drill it for them but you could. Just be careful adding a lot of weight past the thrid mounting point. Adds a lot of pressure into the sheet metal of the door compared to gear in the box. Say hi to Monster for us!
