i personally think it is most likely that all three will live in the end. i dont see gojo coming back permanent do to yuta situation. nobara being the last one alive is reasonable in my mind do to the fact that yuji and megumi are in the line of fire with sukuna who is definetly pissed if he can even fight (mahito was stunned hard, but it was a more direct body part being mahitos split body). however i do believe it will be the three alive because of the sparks coming back between megumi and nobara, and the big thing is the fact that gege made it a point early on that yuji will die to finish his goal but that mind set seems to be changeing for him. with soul attacks and yujis growth he will be able to defeat sukuna in a way not thought of or not seen as possible (nobara seemed to only know her resonance could hit the soul after mahito as she seemed like she had an educated guessing it would work).

I think that would be a nice way to wrap up Yuta and Gojo's story, since both of them are gonna die. Narratively it would make the most sense for just Gojo to die. If Yuji seals Sukuna within him, there’s nothing else Sukuna can do to escape. Yuji will be the one to teach Sukuna about love as he lives a peaceful life and Sukuna would be forced to witness this until the day they both die together.

While having the question of Nobara's vague fate finally answered is great and her coming back is cool (eye patch and all) I have 2 big problems with how it was implemented: - Her disappearing for half the story just to be used as a plot device in the last 5 chapters is quite disappointing considering how much she could have been developed as a character instead of being left in the fridge for plot convenience while Yuji and Megumi got all the plot development and relevance all to themselves - She being in a coma all this time just to conveniently wake up at the perfect time to be used as a plot device is an extremely lazy excuse on Gege's part, especially when you compare it to how well done Todo's return was. So I had a theory come to me around 30 minutes after my last donation for the ending of JJK that I had to share. So the theory is that it's gonna be between Gojo and Yuji to be the one to die. Now we know that Gege doesn't write anything in JJK without a reason and that would hold true for Yuji consuming all 20 fingers and sacrificing himself to end Sukuna. We've seen that as Sukuna starts to get separated from Megumi, he starts throwing up his fingers. When Sukuna gets fully separated, all 19 fingers inside Megumi will come back out, meaning they'll have to be consumed again in order for Sukuna to be killed with his vessel. I think Yuji is now at a point of being strong enough to eat all the fingers in one sitting and contain Sukuna, given how it was stated that his whole body is essentially a cursed object now. But when Yuji died the first time, Sukuna was able to heal him seemingly without the binding vow, so there would have to be nothing left of Yuji to heal. Enter Gojo. I think Gojo's Hollow Purple is the only attack that would for sure destroy all of Yuji and Sukuna along with him, meaning Gojo would come back and essentially have to be Yuji's executioner. We'd see Gojo's going North as him essentially embodying becoming the Maitreya and his attitude would shift from how casual it was when he first brought up the idea to Yuji about him dying to Gojo showing how much he values Yuji and wishing he didn't have to. In one of the final scenes, it would be everyone Yuji cares about all around him as he dies, fulfilling his grandfather's wish, and when he passes on, he'll see Choso, his parents, and his grandfather in his soul dimension thing. Let me know what you think about this idea and sorry for the novel lol

If the technique is strong and he does consume a fatal body part, it'll have limits on how many times you can use it. To get around that, you have to make undisclosed binding vows. Even if you DO consume a body part, if you are fighting somebody with reversed curse technique, they can just heal it and you'll no longer have access to their technique. You do not have any cursed technique like 95% of the time you are fighting, because you can only use it for 5 minutes at a time. That already puts you in a massive disadvantage. What's worse? Even if you meet all of these ridiculous requirements -- which no other technique on the verse has, mind you, you do not get all the knowledge of the cursed technique when you copy it. You still have to learn how to use it.

I've had those same scenarios for awhile now. I knew Nobara wasn't dead, and when Gege said Nobara was being departed that only solidified my thoughts about Nobara being alive. Gojo is the that one who died but does it mean he has to stay dead.? I remember Gojo telling Yugi that it's RARE for a sorcerer to come back after being dead for 2 months.. But rare doesn't mean it NEVER happens. I know I'm reaching.🤞

I think it makes sense for only Gojo to die. I think it would be an interesting inversion for the trio of today to accomplish what the trio of yesterday couldn’t really do. Gojo wanted to rear the younger generation to be just as strong, if not stronger than him. I think, on a metatextual level, he accomplishes this by all three of them surviving. Shoko cut off ties with her friends, not even bothering to plead with Geto after he’s turned their backs on them, yet Nobara comes back explicitly to help save defeat Sukuna and save Megumi. Geto gives up on his mission to protect the weak, yet Megumi, just after explaining that he has nothing to live for, willingly fights against Sukuna, just to give Yuji an edge in his own fight. Gojo died alone, with no one that truly understood him and no one that could or wanted to relate to him, yet Yuji, whether he dies in his fight with Sukuna or a long time after, will die knowing that his friends stood by him until the very end. I think a beautiful ending to this series is knowing that Gojo raised the next generation of sorcerers that did what even the strongest himself couldn’t do: they not only kept up with him (as he told Megumi to do), they exceeded him.

The infamous videos that forecasted all that's happening reveals that it will be Gojo. My theory, Kenjaku's body changing technique might work the same way as Sukuna's which is by subduing one's soul to complete submission. That way they can use all of their techniques too. Kenjaku fulfills this with his brain and Sukuna with his fingers. And i think that's why Kenjaku was surprised when Geto tried to fight back when sealing Gojo in Shibuya since he considered himself to have fully subdued Geto's soul. Otherwise how can one's soul fight back if it's not there? That may be why Yuta is on the floor. He hasn't established a connection with Gojo's soul yet so the technique can go only so far. When he does they make a binding vow then he comes back. Megumi dies as a sacrifice for the team to join Tsumiki.

There's always the possibility of this quote being outdated, remember how Gege said Nanami was going to die in that first fight with Mahito but it felt like Yuji gained his own agency and saved Nanami? Maybe Megumi was originally going to die but Yuji saved him or Gege changed his mind about Nobara's death and we could end up with Meg and Nobara living while Yuji and Gojo die

I could see Yuji dying to replace Sukuna's curse cycle with his own. Megumi is in charge of the merger so he could 'die' dealing with that, Nobara could die from curse overuse swan song or reflection or some other misfortune. Gojo could even be considered 'alive' by Yuta possession. Alive or dead doesn't even have to be physical or literal, all is up for grabs.

The first way the Sukuna situation can be fixed is Itadori eventually becoming a strong enough vessel to hold him and as Itadori grow old and weak, he can just commit suicide. The second solution is having Nobara take custody of one of his fingers and once news of Sukuna resurrecting in another vessel she can immediately resonance him. If Nobara have children she can passed down her technique as well as it could be the family and maybe eventually a clan responsibility to keep Sukuna in check.

I just can’t see a world where it’s 1 alive now with Nobara back in the picture because in theory it’d have to be Nobara surviving because it’d be beating a dead horse for her to come back just to “die” again. But in that same sentence, Nobara has the least impact of the 4 so her being the only survivor would just be kinda lack luster. I personally think it’s Gojo who will be the one to die, Gojo dies knowing he has raised the next generation of jujutsu society to not be corrupt and Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara continue his legacy as being some of the strongest sorcerers of the next era. I know that completely ignores all the hints of a Gojo return but I just can’t see a Gojo return happening with only 4 chapters left.

I think megumi will die since he has seemingly lost everything dear to him and most of his shikigami(including mahoraga) too plus he also got hit by unlimited void multiple times , and since most fan theories (the most prominent one being rika eating yuji's finger and nobara using resonance on the 20th finger) are being on point now since its coming to an end, its kind of predictable ; The one thing that was implied during angel's jacob's ladder was that it was hitting everyone in the area including yuta in gojo's body (and it's possible yuta's body was hit by it too because there's no other reason for rika and yuta's body to be there). What if Yuta (while still in Gojo’s body) takes on Sukuna as a host and self sacrifices? He was the original mc, his physical body is basically dead and we don’t know what will happen to him if he tries to just stay in Gojo’s body indefinitely.

Perhaps if Sukuna is specifically killed rather than dying of natural/self inflicted causes, his fingers are no longer invincible. It would make sense if part of the reason that the fingers were invincible to begin with is Sukuna did a binding vow to “die” at the height of his power after he was bored with the Heien era (tbf we’ve never been explained just how he died so I’m making an assumption). If he’s bested, the fingers may simply lose their power. Or perhaps they kill Sukuna and Yuji eats the fingers, and now that Yuji is massively more powerful then the start of the series, he can easily suppress Sukuna inside himself until the day he dies of natural causes and takes Sukuna with him.
