If you mean to skip using pistol 4 and 5, that's a bad idea. They both deal a significant amount of strike damage.

Why Rolling Smash? I get consistently more dps using Explosive Knuckle. Swd2 keeps up the bleed for Hematic Focus.

Tested yesterday and fell in love in the brainless simplicity. There is also version with Elixir Gun, which you take for Acid Bomb only, but it requires interrupting leap animation, which is not easy. By the way, this weapon setup also works great on Quick Scrapper. Get Mine, Shredder Gyro, Blast Gyro, Mortar and either Medic Gyro or Healing Turret and you can easily get 100% quick uptime with full Berserker gear.

Acid bomb cancel? That sounds up my alley - I still have the muscle memory from years of scrapper in pvp. Is it the same as this build, just with EGun instead of Mine? Edit: I tried it and got roughly the same dps, but somehow spamming acid bomb is a lot less satisfying in pve than it is in pvp lmao. I guess in pvp there's less pressure to get a perfect cancel every time.

@@Adramach It's much more cozy if you don't try to do it perfectly. I would generally let it throw me back a little. You lose time, but it's not a big deal in pvp or on a heal build.

I tried it. I would say it's not worth it. It did 4k more DPS than power alac with rifle and 2.5k more DPS than power alac with hammer. Please note tho that my power alac build is a bit different than snowcrows (I take more utility and more boon duration). I personally would not switch hammer/rifle to sword/pistol for power alac mech because I am losing some utility with my build. But if you don't want to buy additional equipment and you already have this, sure go for it. But the best alac mech overall right now is the condi pistol/pistol dps alac mech.

Thanks as always for the excellent guide! Between this and Power Scrapper, which do you prefer? Do you feel this rotation is more forgiving and easier to pull off in real fights?

Scrapper is tankier and does higher damage, but power mech is easier and has better dps uptime. Both great.

I've been running this Power Mechanist for a while now. Swapping on and off with Scrapper for super speed sometimes. I got to a quite optimised setup with exactly 45% critical chance (100% in combat) and more ferocity. Dragon head/shouder/body/leggings and amulet The rest are berserkers Dragonhunter runes Force/Impact sigils Power/ferocity food and utility

Also egal was ich mache, ich mache was falsch. Ich habe das Build 1 zu 1 kopiert, komme im Burst (am Golem) auf meist 55k +. Aber der normale DPS ist eher bei 35k, wie also kommst du auf 38 k ? Ich mache fast genau das selbe wie im Video, aber ich komme nicht auf diese Konstanten 38k

Thank you for the show case of this. I’ve been using mostly rifle power mech with berserker gear (I’m crit capped). It’s been a challenge to barely go over 20k dps. I keep my mech close to make sure he’s fully buffed, all his pet skills are on auto. I was using this since CM 100-99 apparently doesn’t allow melee builds. How do you feel about that? I’ve been called out being some shiity dps :P even if I’m doing the rotation good with the build on hardstruck. Struggling to find builds capable of doing those CM fractals with 30-40k dps (it’s expected).

Rifle has been neglected and is a bad weapon. It's sad but it's the unfortunate truth.

@@MrMystic1 I am able to maintain 27-30k dps with the build you just showed. Ascended Berserker, same runes, sigils, etc. No idea why its such an issue to get those dps numbers in gw2. Never been a problem in WoW.

@@chend2217 The absolute DUMBEST but best advice I ever got in DPSing was...do it faster. Sounds stupid but if your numbers are low you may well be 0.5 or 1.0 seconds late hitting most abilities. Ability off CD and not being used is DPS left on the ground, so just GO FASTER! (I have a hard time pulling over 30K let alone 40K benchmarks others do so no expert just my two cents.)

Yes I have been practising and it does make a difference to smash faster hahaha. Also need to use all abilities in a spam way. I have been able to go over 30k dps which is my goal!! I was sitting on auto attack too often thinking it was better.

Play this build for 97-98 CM. For 99-100 CM take the condi pistol/pistol dps mech. That one is also easy.

Does pistol 4 do a lot of damage if you're power? Damage is damage, but does offhand matter a ton between pistol and shield?

Pistol has received tons of buffs and now does a good amount of damage. If you need extra cc save your mech skills for it.

No, dragonhunter is fine. I just found scholar to be more consistent.

Just does a tiny bit more damage because we overcap on crit, but full berserker is 99% the same. It's mostly for the extra vitality.

Question: In mechinist build tree the first talent point you have as [1] instead of [3]. Is it bcuz it keeps melee is why you chose 1? since [3] does more raw power dmg?

Too much crit chance. 45% without boon is enough and full ascended berserker gives you 50.76%. Dragon peaces give less presicion and power but much more ferocity and a bit of vitality.

sure - but you need to take Crisis Zone & Barrier Burst traits in Mechanist & make sure you between 40% & 50% boon duration or your boons will not be permanent (which is the worst as a boon dps). So put in a few diviner pieces just in case...

@@nightmarecorn thats the very old one - yes There is a newer version with hammer with just does more dmg, but is melee if course. And also not hard to play. Just put the field down with 5 spam 2 of cooldown and 3 too for more combos. 4 is a block which is neat The old preferred way to play it was bring hammer and rifle in both weapon slots and just BEFORE the battle take what is better Hanmer outperformed rifle nearly in all cases except it was an annoying condi boss (like on CO CM) or you needed pushes and immobilize like on Samarog Rifle dps is definitely lower but is therefore pretty consistent With sword and pistol we have a new alternative which seems to be work just fine and may not change much after the bugfix of sw3

@@kagar3465 depends on the healer - if you have an HFB or heal chrono that can handle the aegis and most important stability and projectile reflect, you are good to play any alac as long as you give out over 90% alac uptime If you have healers with less stability and aegis and no reflects those fights get messy real fast and then the rest of the group needs to compensate for that. You could preserve crisis zone for that but only one stack of aegis and stability on a 30 sec cooldown will not get you that far unfortunately. But the only other boon dps that are better with stability (and a bit of aegis) are condi quick firebrand or power quick herald (jaelis) So feel free to bring mech to fractals any time of the day. As long as you do your job right (alac, dps & cc) you are not the reason your group fails 😁 And if you find yourself having not enough cc take hammer instead.

Yes, and no. This rotation is based on bugged version of 3, but the dps won't change much after fix.

That's easy to answer. Firearms gives you increased crit chance on bleeding foes and increased damage per condi on target, so if you keep the bleeding constants, you got the buffs on all the time

I tried a few different builds and every single one of the m deals barely 10-12k. I do everything right and rotation never hits over 12k. Whenever I try to solo hp or champs, they take forever. Maybe i'm just biased after playing Untamed. After a while I noticed, I can't get boons you have on screen. So on open pve this build is realy bad -.- you get almost no boons. Unless you're doing meta and everyone else gives you boons. I have no idea how people in comments say they get 30k+ becouse for me, this build does only 6-8k dps. It's not the "skill issue" becouse there is so few keys to push. I have no idea what is wrong. Another thing I noticed. whenever I try builds like this, that scream "40k+" I always get at most half of that. I'm using arcdps to check values. Is it possible that arcdps doesn't count the mechs dmg output? Edit: This build works only in group content it seems. While playing events with other players, I did benefit greatly from their boons and it did boost my dps to 19k. But then again, I am a solo player. I try to solo almost everything I can so it doesn't work as a solo build at all. I need to tweak it, to apply boons to myself and keep that 25 stacks of might and fury up.

Ah I figured out why this benches so high - it's dependent upon there being conditions, and a lot of them, on the enemy you are attacking, due to the trait modified ammunition. Without conditions, or only the conditions you apply, you will bench around 25-27k.
