I'm super excited for the new pp reword, as a player who plays for passes and improvement, this helps so much with not having to worry about becoming a de-ranked just because I don't farm.

playing for passes is still gonna be pretty shit (as it should be - for passes to give good pp, we'd have to put hp into the pp calculation, which sounds bad). Good accuracy and low misscount is what will be rewarded, so maps you could conceivably fc on a very good day are still what's going to be best for pp.

in this new rework, mrekk now holds the highest raw pp and highest pp play in all of osu because there is a bonus removal on LN (long notes) on mania that nerfs LN hard. To give what im saying, Dressurf, the current No. 1 mania player has 30,020 raw pp. When the mania rework is implemented, he lost 4k pp (which the result of the LN bonus it gives) on the rework. His current top play, eviternity worth 1888pp is nerfed down to only 1400pp. In the rework, his top play is now Duplicity shade worth 1.6kpp (previously 1816pp) (sorry for bad grammar.)

Fun fact: Akolibed is losing more pp in this rework than LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE. (That said, a lot of the top 50 are also losing lots of pp.) Meanwhile, Ivaxa is gaining the 30th most pp out of anyone in the game. Him and JappaDeKappa are the only 2 in the current top 400 to be ranked above 50th in this category.

im upset bc I had a really good slider break play on a Long map but since it wasnt worth anything with the old pp formula, i played it again and got a high combo 4 miss which was worth more pp. But since the higher combo one is a higher score that's what will show up on my profile instead of the slider break play which will be worth more with the new rework.
