IMPORTANT VEHICLE INFO UPDATES: #1 it is better to fly straight up and in a slight spiral to avoid missiles instead of horizontally. This is only applicable if not in a dogfight however. #2 do not use vtol to take off only for landing, switch to plane mode and hold the gas as soon as possible. #3 If you lose your control surfaces you can go vtol mode to continue dogfighting with mostly only horizontal controls the majority of the time. #4 TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE VTOL IN DOGFIGHTS! While I was making this video I had not yet thoroughly tested the vtol in dogfights. Now that I have, I have realized it is OVERPOWERED. Practice it against your friends in a dogfight race I highly recommend it!

Just some tips I've found by dogfight everything barely engage throttle and tap brake. I've killed players easy without engaging throttle at all

The thing I noticed with the vtol, is it should only be used as an air brake. It instantly slows you down and can force an overshoot on basically anything. When in a vertical climb or a flat scissor activate vtol and they'll flight in front of you

You can hover upseide down in the Raiju.. and when you do, you can tilt straight nose down and only decend very slowly while vertical, leaving lots of time to unload the canons..

I think you can beat a b11 by engaging and disengagiing. Yes the b11 can overturn you pretty easily, but if you take your speed and acceleration to your advantage, you can just hit an run constantly.

@@vikasbishnoi8412 The raiju would even without the explosive cannon nerf still beat the Lazer, now less players would use it because it is actually an aircraft that requires skill to fly effectively and it cannot attack ground target well unlike the lazer but the stealth ability, the speed and the maneuverability make it alone a better aircraft which would in all dogfights make it the better option (plus VTOL allows it to beat even more maneuverable jets like starling, Pyro and B-11 but it honestly is still very good without this awesome feature), now as I said I'll give it to you : this jet would not be used as much as it is today without the nerf to the explosive cannons, however this nerf was honestly needed as the cannons were just too OP for freemode and required no skill at all to use

In conclusion Freemode and dogfighting it’s top 1 and 2 very close to the Starling maybe a tie depending on the skill of the pilots and has a lot of uniqueness and potential to it with its tight turns, ability to flick itself up and down, along with the vtol with some practice can pull off some very cool maneuvers in dogfighting

I'll never win against other players and I'm already struggling with npc, so I use my planes only for travel so I bought the raiju because it is fast. If ennemies are on the ground, I prefer to land and try to shoot them with guns

The starling still the only aircraft that is a pain for the raiju (although the raiju is immune to non explosive bullets, if want to win with the staling must use missiles)

you clearly don't know about the raiju's vtol tricks and bullet resistance, unless you cock pit snipe a raiju pilot, the pyro cannot kill this. any good raiju pilot won't be killed by the homing rockets haha
