Just got the s90d and I had the opportunity to see it next to lg g3 and Sony a80l and I kept coming back to the s90d. Getting it home and mounted out of the box, the clarity and picture is crazy AF out of the box. I LOVE ❤ this OLED. I got the 77 inch and it is qd OLED screen. I can’t wait to get off work and watch Furiosa. Update: after getting it mounted and using it all week, I’ve got it dialed in calibration wise and this TV is insanely good. It’s bright, crystal clear and an absolute pleasure to watch. Not a day has gone by where someone in my family hasn’t said something about the picture. I ❤️ it.

UPDATE: 54 days later after buying Samsung s90d “77. Samsung S90D “77 great picture in fact fantastic picture HOWEVRR, mine died in 54 days, they are replacing it but I know 3 other people that have been thru multiple in under 90 days. My body has had 3 replacements in under 90 days all “77 s90d. First one was DOA the other 2 shut off on its own and were dead. Mine, shut off while watching a movies and that was that, dead. They really need to fix the issue before having people buy a top line television and having it die in under 90 days. Ridiculous.

So I bought the 42 inch S90D about 6 months ago after returning my LG C3 because it was not bright enough. I was concerned about the brightness and I bought it locally so I could return it easily if it was too dark. I have to say I love this TV. I use it as my monitor with my beast of a PC and it is truly amazing. I have never measured the brightness but it has enough settings that it is very bright while gaming and online. I wish I had waited because it is $200 cheaper now but it really is worth the price. Don't hesitate if you can afford it.

I love your content, and i wish i had watched it before i purchased my 48-inch s90d last night! I was mainly looking for 55-inch hisense u8n, and my max budget was only $300, and I was not able to get any used u8n in my area and all of sudden, some one just posted on the marketplace s90d 48inch for $400 and i eded up got it for $300 last night and then watched your content. No its not. The lg g4 is still has better shadow detail, less noise, better upscaling, better motion handling, and better in speaker sounds. Brightness isnt everything, plus the g4 is plenty bright

⁠​⁠@@Slitwheelthis is a midrange OLED, the S90D and S92D competes with the C4 not the G4. This also has better colours than WOLED tv’s, also TV speakers they aren’t much different at all. If you’re buying any of these TV’s you’ll be pairing them with a soundbar and if we were to judge sound in that case, the Q990D with Q-Symphony blows away the S95TR with Wow Orchestra. Plus the tv speakers on the Samsung S95D are also better than the G4, and the TV speakers on the S92D are far better than the C4.

The solarium doesn't really charge the remote but help using it longer. To really charge it use the USB c

If its low on battery yes, but the point is the solar in the remote will take small bits of charge throughout the week that will either keep it the same or charge it a little. Its more dependent on the room your in and how much light it gets.

Both great TV's I think the QN90D is sharper and better in a room with a ton of light. But the S90D is going to pop a little more and have deeper blacks. I think it comes down more to which design you like more and the price! Don't watch the same thing all day every day. Modern OLEDs do a good job of preventing this but if you have the news on or anything with constant bars / logos. Its generally not good to leave it on with that for long periods of time.

$2299 is still a good price for a 65" high end OLED TV. People forget that tv's used to be 4000 for a tube tv ect... If you really want it I would just pull the trigger. If you really want to wait for the price to drop I am sure something will happen black friday / cyber monday, but then you have to ask is the couple hundred dollars in savings worth not having it for that period of time. Alot of our customers tend to be motivated by timeline because they are trying to entertain or have people over for the holidays ect..

I have just won a battle with LG re 3 failed Mother boards. Tv was 1 year out of warranty.so I did well. They are taking tv back to Joyce mayne and giving me a credit so I can buy this same Samsung tv . Apparently LG and Samsung are having mother board problems so I’m wondering if I should pay the $400 for extra warranty ? Never had to do this with Samsung in the past but wow!!! It had decent built in sound compared to others but it really just depends on what your watching. Voices are typically good through just the TV speakers but its really up to you! Anything with bass or surround NEEEDs a soundbar to really experience it!

Not sure the specifics but touching and feeling / seeing the S90C and then the S90D I can tell its an upgrade and the processing and sharpness feel better on the S90D. I think the S90D is closer to the S95C in terms of perormance and feel. Idk if that helps!

Do not opt for a soundbar. A soundbar will be a minimal upgrade from tv speakers. Instead invest in bookshelf speakers/floor speakers with a receiver. If you are on a budget then powered bookshelf speakers are a much better option than a soundbar. Soundbars often use crappy speakers. Bookshelf speakers have larger drivers and typically better tweeters. You cannot replace displacement.

It depends. I Think its only worth it if you are going to invest in a soundbar that has separate height speakers. I agree that the stereo can sound better but then you don't get any seperation of channels. It really just depends on every person!

What did you go for in the end mate? I’m from Aus too and thinking of going for the S90D 65”. That’s a QD-OLED as per the model code here. Interestingly, S95D is on sale at the same price now but I don’t want to gamble with the matte screen on that, have large windows on the side in my apartment.

Wall mounting is not super difficult and there are tons of people who have already posted better guides on that sort of thing. I like to focus more on the product then the installation because everyones installation looks different for different people. But yes it is wall mountable!

A few things here and this is more for the people reading the comments.... 1. I Agree with you that premium product like this should last and not have persistent issues. However context is very important here. 2. Do you actually know 3 people who all have the same tv with the same problem? Or have you just seen online that 3 other people have had the same problem? Keep in mind that It is very easy to find negative comments and problems with just about anything that you buy. I personally don't even know one person with the same tv as me and I work at a TV Company. 3. Included Warranty. All products should come with a one year manufacture warranty. In this case it seems like Samsung is doing their part in fulfilling those. If this issue is as big as it seems they will know based on how many replacements they have done compared to other models. Then they can look at the issues and fix them moving forward. Keep in mind this is only the 3rd year Samsung has been in the OLED market. 4. Buying an Extended Warranty. I know the last thing you want to hear is a company pushing a warranty and in most cases I am not for them. However with TV's they are not built like they were 10-20 years ago and. Although they should all last 10+ years its more common now that they don't compared to before. With how expensive they It just makes sense now more than ever to go with one. I just hit 100,000 Miles on my truck, 5 years old. Transmission went out and I was out of warranty. Dealership was able to work with me but I was out a big chuck of money, with the new one I have 3 years of warranty and I could have saved a few hundred bucks without it but I just don't want to go through that again so for that, thats why I got it. @@WaltsTV I know someone who owns a bar and bought several and they have all been replaced except one he bought 4 77 inch. I bought mine because of online reviews and a buddy had one and I loved it he is on his 3rd in under 90 days each time it just shuts off while watching and it’s dead. You can choose to hear me or dismiss me, why, what motivation do I have to lie? To manufacture what I’m saying? Samsung has a big problem with these Oled panels. I would be interested to know how many others have had similar or the same exact issues. I’ve been a proponent of Samsung for 2 decades, never have I ever had one go bad so soon after purchasing. I have extended warranty and manufacture warranty and it is being exchanged, but for a top line TV this is ridiculous. It didn’t last but 60 days for me, and the other folks local to me the same some worse. For the money and the advances in tech we should be getting better not worse. I digress, in the coming months we will see if this is a persistent problem plaguing Samsung OLED panels.

65" is always a QD-OLED in europe. Check the model code. T is for QD-OLED, E is for WOLED (all sizes except 65").

@jonsatvoutdoorchannel6686 the windows hdr calibration app tops out at 800nits. All hdr10+ games show 800nits as the recommended brightness.

@Juju-u7t when I calibrate it in the win11 hdr calibration app it maxes out at around 850nits and all the hdr10+ games are automatically preset to 800 nits
