Jon I'm not sure if your familiar with Dan Edmunds on yt but he does flex tests which are basically articulation tests on trucks/suvs and the new rear coil spring Raptor on I believe 37s tested lower then a 4runner TRD, LX570 and a Land Cruiser. The Land Cruiser actually holds the highest score on his list.

Always good when the thing can get good results on the smile'o'meter. Personally I'm just looking for something to handle snow and mud as my job does have me go into those sorts of situations. I'd love to get into more offroading. But being honest with myself I don't do it a ton rn.

My land cruiser has amazing wheel travel this definitely isn’t the replacement. Also I would like to note it has a very smooth ride. This new sequoia looks much better than the previous model. Cheers!

Did Toyota discuss the choice of using non 3PMS rated AT3 tires? Noticed that the OEM rubber isn't the standard retail version. They've also updated the white to Ice Cap, do you know if its just renaming Super White or a new paint code

You’ll touch bottom in two places coming up on the Telluride side, both above Tomboy mine below the final switchbacks. Two more spots coming down the Ouray side before you get to turn off to Camp Bird mine, then one last spot between the mine and the old HQ building where you will need to take the switchback wide or you will leave the passenger side of your trailing bumper. A big vehicle for that pass - but it certainly can handle it with a minimal of trail damage if driven competently.

It's not even a question if the new Sequoia is good off-road, no doubt it is one of the best 4x4s you can buy for 2022/2023. The big question is though, is it a worthy successor to the full-size land cruiser?

why did they miss rear entertainment system? chip shortage? if this is a family hauler - people expect to see a rear entertainment system offered and my pup is going to hate the lack of rear sliding window... it feels like they haven't taken sequoia as seriously as tundra...

Who is actually buying a first model year and spending $75,000? I know it’s a Toyota the best car company in the world I own a Land Cruiser. I get it. But it takes a brave soul to buy a first year model even from Toyota. This is not 35 grand its 75 grand and the Trd pro will be 90 with add-ons.

It's a good looking vehicle. But, it's low and all the angles for off road are bad. And, from what I have seen the cargo area is roughly the same as the 5th gen 4R. This course is a joke for a TRD. My wife's Outback has been in much worse. I wish Toyata had gone further than this considering the LC is gone.
