They dropped the ball when they started making them in China. They should have never been made in China and the brand should have never been sold to GreatStar.

Being made somewhat in China was an eventuality. S-K hasn't been doing too well for decades now. If it's on Amazon it's probably the Chinese stuff. If the price is mighty good for being S-K it's probably Chinese stuff. They separated into 2 lines, Professional is foreign and Industrial is American being made in Williamsport PA, probably won't find much of that on Amazon because price is king there.

I would never buy SK or Craftsman made in China. The quality is inferior to USA made tools. Its a sad day for the iconic SK brand.
