@@TikiDoorman I don't know where you see the words "non defeatable 35hz subsonic" at. The manual shows 35-250hz frequency response but printed on the side of the amp it shows 25-250hz. Even then, it will roll off and not just cut off. So you will still be able to play below that. You can also boost those lower frequencies as well. Not that big of a deal. Anyway it might be a typo in the book because 25hz seems more reasonable. I will have them take a look at it and correct that for the next run which is already about to start. Thanks!

So how it looks to me is while these amps do great at 4 and 2 ohms they're designed to dig down and excel at 1 ohm. Truly a basshead amp from the master! Nice, Steve!

I never really put much emphasis on those other numbers because nobody buys this big of an amp to wire down to 4 ohms. Maybe 1 in 10,000 people. But you know how the internet is. All the sudden 20 people, who don't even have a system or a car, want to tell me that THEY wire down to 4 ohms on a 1ohm stable amp (for no real reason). It don't make any sense to me at all. In the same breath these dudes talking about "oh it can't play at 1/2 ohm so it's no good" or "my such and such is 1/4 ohm stable the way I like it". SMH So which one is it? I can't win the net LMAO! :) :D

​@@meade916hasn't 4 ohm always been the SQ standard? Lol even if it were I've been in the audio scene since EV 18s and OG strokers and I've NEVER seen a SQ build wire to 4 ohms with a massive amo, usually 5-700 watts

@@erik120719 I probably wouldn't run my mids and highs at 1ohm but even in an SQ build there would be no problem running that low on a sub. It isn't going to suddenly lose SQ because it isn't 4 ohms. Especially if the rest of the system is tuned properly. You can definitely buy a 5k amp and run it at half it's power (4 ohms) but to me that doesn't make any sense at all. There is no benefit to it and you just essentially paid double the money for the power you are after. Also, most SQ systems aren't running thousand of watts like that to begin with anyway.

​@@meade916pretty much what I've seen over the years is SQ setups with less than 1000watts on a usually single sub, THD isn't even audible at 1% let alone .001% like most Amps are rated. Most comments that say other wise are the people with zero experience, no system of thier own or the guys who spend countless hours reading other people's opinions and making it thier "facts" . I think it's awesome you got your own line of amps by Dyno results they look to be a solid amp that'll do anything. I've been a ds18 fan for thier pro audio equipment as I do alot of bikes and boats and nothing gets as loud as thier stuff, never tried any of their amps or subs yet tho

I got a rs teams 18 for my son he can’t drive yet lol we both are going to build a something in his b series Mazda truck blow through 4th order we never had this much power in our lives or seen it - we are going blind but doing it - I saw a guy on KZbin running a 5 k and it was slamming I always thought I needed to go double in power but this amp in all its glory and awesomeness Makes me want to showcase its beauty on a custom built rack in the back area cab . -keep the pushing conservative . We are doing after market alt,good wires,and extra battery- besides that it gonna be a crap shoot lol - fyi everyone of our vehicles has a system my Silverado has2 hippos 10’son a nemesis - moms soft top jeep has a 15 skar on ct sounds if someone steals it no biggie theTahoe is all audio tech sound quality etc ,etcbut never like the direction we are aiming for - any advice welcome from fuses to wires and all between . Type of wood ,we both want bass but I want all the interior to be quality sound so it’s not only spl lol does that world exist??

sure you can. A lithium battery upgrade, maybe an alternator and some nice proper wiring. Not that big of a deal. You don't buy a 5kw amp just for your subs and expect to use your stock electrical.

it will run at 1/2 ohm on a sub although it's not recommended. But it will go into protect on the dyno. It's a 1 ohm stable amp with a strong protection circuit, just like I asked for. No need for the average person to run that low anyway.

depends on the length. 1/0 should be great in most cases. My bench just happens to have 2/0 ready to go.
