I have had these subs at the shop for about 6 months or so and just now getting around to playing with them. They are Gately Audio Relentless 6.5" V1 subs. It is hard to do them justice sitting on the test bench, these things belong in a car and will probably make some serious bass once they are installed! thanks for watching if you did!

Throw em in a t-line. Theyre small enough its usually a pretty compact design, and theres crazy output being heard with a full quarter wave box, even like 30hz below fs

Hey, what sup Steve! I have a question. I have your SMD DD1, and im going to tune my sound system and my question is that I have a bass knob from the amp and I have the epicenter knob. When I tune where do I set both knobs ? Do I set them all at max or do I max out the bass knob and turn off the epicenter one. Or how ? Thanks in advance.

The bass volume knob should be all the way up. If you can turn the epicenter up all the way too that would be ideal but since that is a bass boost knob, you might not be able too. Might only be able to go half way. I am not sure on that since your system is not here for me to see what you are doing. It's been a minute since I used one of those myself so I don't recall.

Depends on your goal, subs, and how its wired. Have wired up shit amps with a quality crossover and cleaned things up really well. You're not going to do competitions, but for daily cruising and pissing off the neighbors, it did its job. 😂😂😂

Is this good for home open baffle systems ? Their wouldnt lack of power and excursion. Or that kind of the excursion is not possible to use in open baffle configuration ?

You can but it would be an incredible waste for these to be used that way, but if you wanted to, go for it. You could get the cheapest 12 on the market and it would perform equally if not better in the same infinite baffle. These need a proper enclosure.

Good headphones don't emphasize bass. They are supposed to be neutral. You can eq them however you want. Any closed back headphones from Sennheiser or Beyerdynamic is going to destroy Skullcandy's.

@@joe_ferreira he is right. The Skullcandy ANC will destroy almost any set of headphones out there if you want that major bass feeling. I have had mine for like 5 years. Best set I have ever owned. They sound great too I HATED my Sennheiser's. I gave them away. The ANC's sound better to me even without the bass boosted.

Straight up, when I was like 15 I had two 6.5 subs in a small box that mounted in between the two Cadillac leather power seats in my 1984 S-10 2.8 carb'd four speed manual. I got them from a flea market back in the day and they sounded great with my all Sony stereo (an Xplod tape deck with a 10-disc CD changer) with Sony mids and highs. I didn't have a crazy amp for it, nor did I have the money to get one, so I bought a power inverter and powered them with my Technics home stereo amp. Dude at the flea market sold them for much more than the crap subs that he was selling, but I don't remember what brand they were. I was only a kid back then (like 1997 or 98). After that I bought a 1994 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer and I had two JL Audio 15s running on two Kenwood 600 watt amps with the same tape deck and CD changer. I would set a full Coke can on my roof and bounce it 10 feet. That was back when amps put out their true power or more. Man did that system pound some Trick Daddy and Dre 2001.

You're onto something - I have only a 6.5-inch (how fitting for the vid) sub that came with a 1000-watt RCA Home Audio/Ent. Ctr. (It was a free gift from work) and I have that paralleled with a bandpass car box=2-10" subs within. I'm dying for more power butt the low end is great and ever-present; I plugged the 6.5's port with a sock and it is right next (4-5") to my recliner, aimed at it. Makes a great shelf for spent dinner plates and I suggest getting the BIGGEST one(s, yes) you can afford, or 1 12/15 and 1 18...OMG! Take care---
