About 20 hours in and loving it more and more as I progress through it. Was skeptical and quite hesitant at the beginning but starting to get a feel for the gameplay and understanding how to use certain abilities to disable alarms etc really opens up the gameplay and allows you to go loud in a lot of scenarios

Hope that you're not playing on the PS5? There's a glitch in the game which blocks progression. And the patch that has been sent out to fix the issue, requires the player to start all over again. You can't continue the game on an old save.

'Really good' is a bit of a reach. It isn't slop, but it's pretty mid. Definitely the kind of game you play once on the Ubi subscription for 20 bucks and then finish within the month, at least in my view.

And if you're someone that has bought this game on the PS5, just for the early access to the game, there's a glitch in the game which doesn't allow you to progress any further. Ubisoft have sent out a patch. And the problem with this patch, is that it requires you to start the game on a new save. And if you try to play with this new patch with an old save. You will still encounter the same progression issues. What a mess.

Yeah, that’s the case for me too. I spent over 8 hours on the game when it came out on PS5, and now I have to start a new save. The game is great, but honestly, a lot of the stealth and especially the platforming are frustrating. I think I’ll do another playthrough of Jedi: Survivor as a palate cleanser before trying to play this again. At least the game is still pretty great, despite this issue.

Update: I’ve started a new save and I’m pretty much back to where I was when the glitch happened. It only took about 2 hours, to be honest. Once you know your way around, it’s pretty easy. I’m glad I took the time to replay it, so now I can keep playing.

I’m 8 hours in and apart from 2 details I’m absolutely loving it and imho opinion it’s absolutely gorgeous. The worlds and aliens and factions system and speeder bike and all the original trilogy details are all super immersive and very, very, VERY beautiful. Just even the 1st time I sped across a grassy plain with wind blasting the trees and grass and the huge draw distance and the bike’s engine noise and its burning exhaust and the stunning, cloudy dust blowing and tinging the horizon red was all so beautifully put together. A total buzz.

But Idk, this info was from another YTuber, and her take was that Outlaws was a mix of Far Cry and GTA with Star Wars paint job, not sure if she's right or not a fan of that kinda gameplay style

My take: It is a very unfinished product. The game feels like it should be in late Alpha, early Beta at this point, and is being rushed out, like so many games are these days. Many animations feel wonky and you run into some very bad bugs when it comes to character interaction or doing things the game didnt anticipate you doing (fast traveling or starting cutscenes mid-dialogue for example). Those issues shouldnt exist and they make 70+ Euros a very steep price point. Personally I'd recommend U+ for a month and then waiting for a sale. On the other hand then, graphically the game is great and it doesnt struggle with performance like so many other AAA titles do these days. The story is fun, the concept with the syndicates is also great (even if a bit more basic than it couldve been), the planets are amazing and all in all it makes for a very fun Star Wars experience. Its no Red Dead Redemption or even PS4 Spiderman, but for our first taste of Open-World Star Wars, it delivers. Whats most important for me though, is the potential. Ubisoft have a money machine on their hands here if they keep up live service for this game. Fix the bugs, smooth over the animations and then: EXPAND. The Season Pass should give them a good incentive for this too. Adding more planets, more syndicates, more storylines. The game has the absolute potential to become THE Star Wars game (alongside BF2 ig). Lastly as for the hate, Ubisoft have mostly themselves to blame for the bad rep and the plethora of bugs also does not help their cause, however the game is nowhere near as bad as people say it is. The stealth, for me, is fun and not too repetitive, same for the gunfights. Again, there are many things that could do with a makeover, an example would also be the interaction with other speeders or characters in the world who mostly feel very hollow. Its dissappointing to watch a speeder head up to Jabba's palace, only to turn around there and head back. They all feel like they serve no purpose in the greater world, unlike in RDR2 for example (although that is obviously a high standard). Also the same random events triggering over and over again if you dont do them (like the Empire raiding the Pirate Camp on Toshana) are fairly annoying and take you out of that immersive world. Still, I would definitely recommend this game to any Star Wars fan (at a U+ price point or on sale) for a fun experience, traveling around the galaxy as we already know it or have never seen before.

I appreciate that you like this game but there is no way you can convince me to buy this game. The game plays I have seen on star wars theorys channel says it all. Buggy, shallow story elements, and unrealistic fighting sequences where Kay Ves can knock the helmet out a stormtrooper with one or two punches without breaking her fist. The body structure she is in cannot possibly handle that much force in a punch. It reminds me too much when black widow or a female hero of smaller stature throwing a 250 pound grown ass man through a wall. Unless she is secretly spider Gwen I don't see that happening.

I didn’t really enjoy the stealth, to be honest. I played for over 8 hours before that game-breaking glitch on PS5 ruined my save. Regarding the stealth, I didn’t feel like I had much freedom to approach most situations, unlike in MGSV, or even other Ubisoft titles like Ghost Recon, Far Cry, Assassin’s Creed, or Splinter Cell. Maybe I just didn’t get it, but it felt like I had to rely on Nix for almost everything in stealth. The game is great, but I felt like most of the stealth mechanics were an afterthought in development and could have been better executed.
