You're right about fewer blades in cartridge or disposable is better. The best amount I found looks to be 3 blade system. More than 3 blades, and the shave is scrapy, more easily clogs razor if too much time from the previous shave and much less efficient.

Gilet was number one to me for many years but the disposable shavers they used to have them at cosco it wa like 25 shavers for like 20 something dollars but they changed it and the hydro 5 came out witht the precision trimm and won

They both do very well. I’d say Gillette is number 1 followed by Schick.

Really loving the design and colorway on this one, all white with yellow ascents and that blue on the lubricating portion, just sleek 👍👍 the only thing for me is the pivoting mechanism being really loud with a rather 'plasticky' sound idk,.. but just an observation, overall seems like a real nice product to try..

If you want a clean edge to the goatee, you should have flipped the head back and then the blades are right at the edge and it's great for detailing.

The DE really teaches you the art of shaving - because you need to practice good technique. These Schick razors are about as good as you can get in the cartridge game.

@@averageguytested When it comes to good DE razors, like the Karve, the Rockwell 6S, or the Rex Ambassador, all you really need is a good soap and a good blade and you can get one of the best shaves of your life easy peasy. Cartridges, because of their multiple blades, have an increased risk of skin irritation and ingrown hairs. While I do prefer DE razors, I'm not trying to be negative to cartridges, they still do the job and if you shave with a good technique and without overshaving, you can get a great shave with a cartridge. Still need a good slick shave cream though that has good protection, slickness and glide.

@@averageguytested Yes - exclusively. . Best shaves ever.. It takes about 100 shaves to get decent, but once you get it down then a DFS will last 12hrs.. Seriously! ! At first even with a shavette type razor, which uses disposable type single blades, you feel sensations like the blade is tuggy and it has no glide, but that's just something to do with being new, and you got to learn how to keep the blade/spine pretty flat against the skin, and use momentum with the shaving stroke, and a very slick soap. . At first the shaves will be poor, even with a shave ready razor, its a long learning curve, but its worth it, for sure!!

My friend got me a Schick hydro stubble eraser handle for my Christmas 🎄 gift 🎁 plus I love this stubble eraser plus it doesn't tug or pull which is good for my skin unlike other razors that the and pull this on doesn't tug or pull and I can finally let my scruff beard grow for over a week without any worries this is the best

The Schick Tracer from the early 90's is by far the best razor from them in my opinion. Very comparable to the Gillette Sensor.
