I don't think I could feel more represented right now, like a trans guy named ash with he/they pronouns :')))))))) so happy we get a trans guy on the pod!!!! and I love him, thank you shannon

So interesting. I love that you are bringing on guests that represent ALL queer peoples. Everyone needs to be educated on the queer spectrum to broaden understanding and remove stigmas. Loved listening to Ash!

When this podcast started, I did not realize how much we needed it. I follow multiple lgbt podcasts and thought this one would be repetitive/similar content, but this one is different. I am genuinely, and pleasantly surprised by these conversations. Shannon has made something incredible ❤

The discussion around gender affirming care and the politicization of trans people were so important. Also cool to hear that the trans community has created a safe, helpful camp for themselves to hangout and connect. They are resiliant! LOVE yall 💗

as a trans guy and a try guys fan for years, ash joining the try guys was so cool and i love hearing about his experiences as they are similar to mine. i previously identified as a lesbian but also asexual and now im just queer ... but yeah dudes somehow got hot around the time i started T :D and ash is so handsome too :)

@thiel_spencer22 күн бұрын
52:45 Oh my god! That was my exact experience! I'm the youngest child, but I came out as trans first. My parents had a really, really rough time with it. Then, later, my oldest sister came out as trans and they were so positive and reassuring to her in a way they weren't (and still aren't) with me. So, the fuck you energy is strong 💀💀 like, I'm glad she got to experience that but also... you're welcome, lol.

This is generating so many questions and feelings in me (mostly good ones) but I don't know how to word it. One thing that occurs to me is that gender awareness and questioning in a child is a healthy and normal part of growing up - that's how we learn from each other to some degree. Just because I'm an inquisitive, "boyish" girl-child, doesn't necessarily make me dysmorphic. A confident and caring parent can support a child through these questioning periods and normalize it

I definitely am more adverse to my shots now, but that's also because of how much scar tissue there is now. When I first started T, it was easy, but almost a decade on now it's a lot harder to go through.

27:50 conversation, I think the danger in that is that hormone blockers will stunt physical and sexual development, like breast/ penis growth. And I’m not sure a child can consent to making such a decision for themselves. Therefor that should be left for individuals to decide once they can make a consenting decision, age of 18 in most states.

39:09 I had the same thoughts about breast cancer. When I came to the realisation that that wasn't normal or healthy it's when I found out I was trans.

The whole episode I literally just kept going "That's my exact experience", and it was so validating. Also, it is truly sad going from almost always clean restrooms to the hellscape of the mens room. Me using the mens room of my own free will should prove to anyone that I'm a man. Cis men could not care less about not making a mess. I clean public restrooms frequently, and the womens takes half the time because I don't have to scrub poop off the walls and toilets or pickup messed in boxers. 🫠
