Great to see the original NY Dolls, lots of bands cashed in on that same look but with the wrong music. NY Dolls made raw r&roll, with amazing clothes and hairdo's. When there was no internet you only had the photos and articles from magazines and albums to look at, so you fantasized a whole world around them, etc. But now you push a few buttons and you can find a whole world about them..! Very inspiring, love it. THANX!

Bob Gruen shot this great footage, much of which shows up on his documentary, All Dolled Up. And he deserves an abundance of gratitude for shooting hundreds of hours, from what I understand, of Dolls live shows.
