Knicks fan here, LOVE Jalen; I would've totally understood him wanting the bigger contract next year but him accepting this one and studying success as self justification and team flexibility makes me love him even more. Both incredibly impressive and endearing. Unselfishness like that is rarely seen nowadays. As a Knicks fan, this nearly made me cry. He continues to put the team above all when he's the heart and soul of it. He's going to score the same amount of points this year per game and his assists will reach at least 7.5 per game adding Bridges to the Knicks. However, we still need a back-up center and need to figure out if Randle fits what we're doing for the future and right now. When you’re making over 100 million the difference in making say another 50-75 million doesn’t change your quality of life. It just becomes greed so taking the pay cut for the benefit of your team being the possibility of building a stronger team and possible ring. I would say that’s worth taking less because that ring changes everything. Smart move from Brunson and can lead to so many crazy possibilities

Hopefully, the Pacers continue to trend upward. Knicks vs. Pacers in the Playoffs last season, I thought, was good for the NBA. It would be nice to see these two teams competing for a top-4 finish in the standings each year with potential for a Conference Finals matchup.
