My life's in ruins, completely shattered. I haven't achieved anything in the past five years. I come from a poor family in India, and it feels like failure is my destiny. Despite putting in all my effort and working hard, I've lost everything, even failing high school and spending the last four years at home. I've tried learning SEO, web development, PPC, digital marketing, and more, but I've failed in every field. Could you please, suggest the best idea to start a business or recommend a niche with low competition? It seems like an average person like me, not as intellectually gifted as others, could benefit greatly. First of all, you seem to have impeccable English grammar and you're quite eloquent. This is rare to find nowadays. So simply based off that, I'm sure that you'll be able to craft excellent copy, articles, etc. Don't underestimate yourself. Keep the enthusiasm, keep pushing. You will win. I'm certain of it.

People think Google is a search engine, but it is really an ads company. The fact of the matter is, Google gifts rankings to media sites to compensate such sites for running their news content. Smaller websites are sacrificed at the altar of this nexus by being pushed down the SERPs, although they often have better content.

I have seen at least 3 variations of this video in my feed with different thumbnails and video titles. Are you guys running an AB test on the thumbnail and title is it possible through Creator Studio or need to use 3rd party software? its cool though

Hey Sam, I am big fan of your videos. I am kinda lost here, what was the purpose of this video actually? You shared insights which every mentor tells to their students but you did not mention a lot of things 1- How they added so much data? What is their method of content generation? 2- What did they do initially to boost wirecutter traffic other than adding more content? 3- How we should start a business with end goal of dominating more than 1 niche on internet?

1. It's NYT, they've got deep pockets, hire more writes (since writing is NYT's whole niche) 2. They most likely leveraged the insane domain authority of their other domains by linking a lot to wire cutter (he talked about it) 3. They have a lot of videos on this topic: good content that people trust is the magic sauce. There's a whole universe of stuff under that umbrella, for example writing very clear and targeted posts that provide answers and don't branch out too much. Which is what he's doing here.
