I've been riding my customized Core 2 MK3 Jeffsy for a few weeks now. The biggest surprise for me is how well it climbs. Rider position is perfect. I'm getting faster loop times on the Jeffsy than on my Izzo, because the Jeffsy gobbles up the terrain going back down the mountain. I could see this bike replacing the Izzo if I was only able to own one bike.
@RydenDirty9 ай бұрын
Dude that’s awesome. I’m feeling like that could happen. Not sure though cause my Izzo is so light!!! Trying to figure out where I can drop some weight
@Michael-h6g9 ай бұрын
My Core 2 weighed 35.75 pounds OEM out of the box. I replaced the wheels/tires/handlebars/stem/saddle/chainring/grips and got it down to 34 flat. That's still almost 5 pounds heavier than my Izzo but it doesn't pedal like it which is amazing to me.@@RydenDirty

@@Michael-h6g hell ya that’s badass. I think my Izzo is 29 pounds. Just got done on the jeffsy in Sedona and man it was badass today

@@Michael-h6g dude for real. That’s why I love that thing. I have the transmission on mine and that adds a tone of weight. Like two pounds almost I think. I know the GX transmission crank was almost a pound

Thinking about getting a bike again after watching your videos. I don't think I've been riding since “ the big hit 2” at Simpson park 🤣 what would you recommend between the izzo, capra, and Jeffsy in the 29” variation?
@RydenDirty4 ай бұрын
Dude that’s awesome!!!! Damn the big hit was where it all started and we sucked lol. But out of all those bikes I would get the jeffsy. It can handle pretty much anything that I can handle. Plus it’s a really good climber. I ride that more than anything now.

How tall are you? I'm 5'6" and sized down to a small for the Jeffsy Core 1, based on the shorter reach. It's on the way, so i hope i didnt make the wrong choice.
@RydenDirty4 ай бұрын
im actually 5'7" and that's kinda why I wanted to shorten the reach on mine be cause its a longer frame than my Izzo. But I didn't want to size down too a small

How tall are you? Would it be better to size down for a shorter reach?
@RydenDirty7 ай бұрын
That’s a tough one. Personally I wouldn’t size down cause YT run a little small in my opinion. Most of the stems are 50mm stock so you could always shorten them for a smaller reach

Airshocks. Overrated. YT, operates better with coil. Suntour Voro, works extremely confident. And why all these expensive brand-name forks? How bout a after-market fork that can be upgraded at rider's convenience. And those damn rims. When are companies going to properly install the right diameter rims. 30mm don't cut-it. Needs a internal width of 35-38mm, standard wheels. Lastly. The colors. Seems like a brand catering to the gen-neutral F-ups. How 'bout some camouflage gray & jungle green schemes, or atomic orange Trump limited Edition.
@RydenDirty9 ай бұрын
I’ll be honest with you I love coil so much better. Maybe I will finally put a coil fork on this thing🤔. I actually dig most of their colors they put out, so I guess it’s personal preference. But camo grey would be sick as shit
