The first 1 minutes and 30 seconds of this video is some of the realest shit ever said. I'm 44 years old and recently got back into riding BMX. I re-ignited a fire in my soul that hasn't burned since I was in my early 20s when I quit riding bikes and was forced to be an adult. Thank you bro. I needed this video. 👍👍

I’m 51 been riding since 13, never stopped but stopped really hard riding about the time I had kids. Now it’s something me and my kids bond over. I love the FIT! I own a VH3, a MixTape and a Benny V2, the 24mm Fit Blunt cranks are on all 3 of my Fits as well as the 28t fit sprocket guard. I love the padset and the odyssey metal hot seat! I would have went with odyssey or The Shadow Conspiracy rims. Nothing against the Eclats they just aren’t for me. I would have went with an odyssey S&M or Fit stem on yours that stem that you got there isn’t a very good one for freestyle, not really a fan of the 4 piece bars but that’s just my personal taste…not a Sunday fan at all so I’ll be quiet on that and that 29er is dope af! It’s really sad what’s happening to GT right now considering they are iconic to BMX. I own all 20 inch Bikes each one built from the ground up by me. I have about 12 right now and that’s a small collection compared to some people. Sorry brother I didn’t mean to hijack your comments I’m just so passionate about BMX that I can’t quit 😅

@@robertburriss4130 brooooooooo you got all the bangers!!! I’ve always loved fit bikes. Had one back in 2007. But GT has always been my jam but they never really caught up to the modern stuff of today. Currently I’ve got three bikes in 20”. S&M dagger custom build (obviously lol), fit STR custom build now, and the one in the video. I wanted those blunt cranks but can’t find them anywhere right now. Couldn’t find raw bars that weren’t 4 piece but I actually dig them.

i'm 49 and lived on my BMX from age 6 to 17 (when my dyno detour was stolen and i got a car.) this year i moved to a new place with nearby bike trails and decided to get a new school 20" BMX to hit the dirt and catch some air. on the second day i went over the handlebars while just riding off a curb too slow and broke my collarbone! 2.5 months later and i'm still in agony. i sit on the bike for a few each day so i don't loose my attitude while i'm healing. but damn, be safe out there. take it slow for a awhile and wear a helmet.

I’ve been curious about the 22” not sure if it would benefit or be a burden. 24” isn’t as agile for sure and I feel like 22 would feel the same. Heck even my 20” with a 21 top tube didn’t feel all that great. But it is very stable.

I just got back into riding after 10+ years at 30 this past summer. This video is pretty spot on. Because I'm tall I thought I would buy a 24" model c but wasn't a fan of how heavy/big it was when I felt comfortable to start riding park and street again. Its great on dirt though tbh. 20" feels amazing all around though. Much easier on the body with less weight hoping into stuff.
@RydenDirty10 күн бұрын
For real bro. 20” is just it and if you’ve ridden them before it’s easy to get it back. I may have to try the 24 on dirt🤔
@KnarBurger10 күн бұрын
@@RydenDirty it really feels at home on the dirt. Pump tracks too. I haven't ridden it as much as a 20" on dirt but I'm really liking it and I'm sure I will continue to more. Once I retire the Sunday model d frame I'll probably only use the 24" for dirt.
@ashyslashy735011 күн бұрын
Being a 47 year old who got back on the bmx about 2 years ago after a 13 year hiatus i agree with this and think it's worth adding that of you were a fairly serous 20 inch rider and miss that feeling stick with a 20 or 22 inch wheeled bike. Personally having a 24 inch with bmx geometry is fun but not the same so i rarely ride it and am always on my 20 inch. The larger bars and longer top tube lengths make these bikes easy and comfy for those of us with tired and sore backs! Couldn't be happier to be back on the 20 inch and hoping to stay on it into my 60s!
@RydenDirty10 күн бұрын
Ya dude 47 and slaying it🤘🤘🤘 I’ve been curious about a 22” but I’m loving my 20”. May get one anyways

@@RydenDirty another personal opinion here lol but Subrosa has the best 22” on the market. It’s called the Malum and if I’m not mistaken the pro model comes with 48 spline cranks and double wall rims and a shadow Sano Gyro kit if you still ride brakes. Which is the only time I do is when I’m riding trails. I believe that fit makes a good 22 and it’s called the Covid cruiser I believe.

You might like the Amflow! I tried my mates full fat Polygon and it's sick, but I feel the same as you - the full e-bikes are too heavy! I saw this and was thinking about it too! Buying an E-bike is a big commitment! The Amflow has insane power, but is more of a trail bike than enduro.So I am waiting for somebody to have the DJI motor on a full enduro rig! I love normal pedal bikes!But damn.... E-bikes make climbing fun and I never thought I would say that!

I'm quite disappointed in my D7. The front suspension is terrible, it's so harsh and has almost no travel. The front chainring is too small. The derailleur hanger is super weak and surprisingly expensive.The dropper lever is terrible the wheels are terrible. It doesn't clear anything I'm constantly striking the pedals. I'm going to try upgrading the front suspension and lever. I've already improved it loads with a light wheelset but overall I'm not happy with it.

Bought a brand new DK Legend 26" in 2019. Wasn't easy to drop $500. It got stolen in 2020 (locked up), so I bought a used (but only ridden once) 2013 DK Sentry off Craigslist from a guy that won it in a raffle. Now I've spent more in parts than I payed for the bike. Upgraded bottom bracket (MCS), sprocket, seat (blackops), grips (Vans), pedals (SE), tires and brake pads. Killer bike, but really thinking about another 26". Probably the Kink drifter or Haro DMC.
