I've been playing owl cerently, and I think it deserves his own category above S. He is the most consistent out of every character, scroll rerolling mechanic is absolutelly broken since you can never lose on that gamble - if you reroll bad/worthless scroll, you'll always get somthing better. His total granade damage output is way higher than fox primary's and unlike fox it's always avaiable. Just don't use his primary at all (maybe at the early stages) put everything into grenades and you have character whos oneshotting everything, you don't even have to aim and you can make use of any scroll he gets, that character is insane. Edit: Oh, and on top of that free elements on granades + he is fast boy

This tierlist is pretty agreeable. I do think Tao (Bunny) should be S, she might not have the greatest diversity. But her dmg with Blossom Petals and Flying Swords make up for it, especially if its increased stacks and has additional buffs. It makes her fairly powerful enough which would land her in S.

I am a very new player to the game and I picked up fox right away because her kit seemed simple and fun to use, but I've ended up mostly going for Q builds because I just fell in love with the trigger on weapon hit ascension, and on my early runs trying to use E I felt like energy regen just wasn't enough for it to be fun to use. I'll give E another try, but so far fire weapon (scorching rounds or fire mod on sunder/argus) based builds with Q/burn synergy has been tons of fun critting up to 300k+ and the meteor trigger doing another 200k.

I have been playing the Dog pretty exclusively since he was the only other character in the game, so I can't speak much on the other characters. But Dog + Launchers + Gemini inscription that sets your ammo to 1 and just a few scrolls and he melts stuff. The scroll that makes him immune to damage for 1s after reloading pretty much makes him invincible. I don't just lean on Atomic Dog, I dual launchers so I get all kinds of synergies with explosive damage buffs.

Qing Yan is by far the tankiest character, but he shines the most in multiplayer and is much worse in solo play imo. In MP, you can easily take on all the aggro and keep enemies distracted while other players act as backliners and kill the enemies you're tying down. Your movement and survivability also makes you great at reviving downed allies. However, Qing Yan is really meant to be built with a short-ranged loadout, and of course his abilities are very short-ranged too, which makes him very bad at certain bosses - especially Golem, he really sucks against that. This is his only real flaw, he excels at basically everything else.

qing yan murders golem, you just stand directly in front and use leap i-frames to dodge beam and you'll kill him in no time as long as you upgrade a weapon semi decently (i prefer crimson firescale or a classy wildhunt)

In ironically I disagree, getting all his personal ascensions and a decent leap ascension from goblet absolutely make him broken for solo runs. If you get Regen hit and any other leap ascension/cleave ascension to reduce CD it's GG for that run if you get a good gun. I main bird and have done over 150 runs with him in nightmare and above. More then 150 hours on bird too. Leap is busted as all hell if you get Regen hit 3, literally invincible.

I dont think fox deserves the high rating that much. She has not really great defense mechanisms and her skill dmg gets outshadowed by other characters weapon dmg. The bird is clearly S+ Tier right now and should get nerfed. He is so OP that it is not even fun. He will never take any points of dmg and can OS every enemy except bosses with lucky shot shotguns. Also i think the bunny should be in S with her insane amounts of dmg. The tiger has a real rough time to get going but you outscale pretty much every other character after stage 3. I dont like the gameplay of the roboter girl so she might deserve S Tier idk.

That's fair! Everyone likes and dislikes different characters but the fox has had the most damage ever in one shot and in a full run for me. I have played thousands and thousands of runs but nothing has come close to dealing 3 billion total damage except for the fox. Personally I think the bird can be good but on the RE8 nd RE9 difficulties being a one trick pony with a shotgun can be dangerous. But yeah everyone likes and dislikes certain things!

​@@TheOriginalMako reading your comment i went on to try fox again on r9 and youre right. With the right scrolls i got an insane 12 billion dmg run, breaking my record(early enhanced dual edge). Also tried robot girl and youre right about S-Tier aswell. She is so easy and so boring, the revive mechanic nullifies the challenge. I still stand on my opinion about the bird though. You have to be a bit lucky to get the right blue ascensions at the first world for leap but if you do you can just facetank the enemies. Pick up the red shotgun ascensions in desert and it is a walk in the park. When i play drunk solo or try to carry teammates on r9 i always pick my noob bird

i agree with everything but owl. you can get 4 ascensions all at rank 1 and run through holding down fire with rainbow or any other weapon and win the game. he has his q build, his e build is really good for room clear and boss one shots, and his weapon builds are top tier. i accidentally beat nightmare mode for the first time on a mediocre build with owl

As an Gunfire Veteran I highly agree with ur Tierlist! Except of one character, but I think this is more of an personal opinion. I love Xing Zhe(Monkey) and he is by far my favourite character in the game. He may not be the strongest in terms of damage numbers, nor the best in terms of survival. But he is the most reliable of all characters. That means there are very few playthroughs where I don't play through with this character. His builds are simple. You can play with any weapon and it works through the E skill. Also the Q ability is not to be underestimated with its aoe. But I think with the opinion I'm relatively alone :D either way good tierlist!

hes my favorite too but can you really use any weapon with his e? i thought most weapons dont give his e good buffs. hes also my favorite because you can go any weapon you want but through your q buffing your weapon.

How can you put the tiger and monkey so low ? they both have high area one shot build and they're both my top 1 and top 2 highest damage ever. The tiger can deal 150 million damage on 7 mobs 3-4 times a second on an average last floor, what's the point of hp if nothing survive more than 1 sec. Same thing with the monkey exept it's slower but has more range and more damage. I really don't understand your tier list, it seems you ranked most of the characters on their survivability but that's the least important aspect in solo play since you can one shot almost every mobs.

I said in the video that the tiger has insane damage potential I just do not like his play style and don’t enjoy playing him that’s why he is low, and the monkey does not have anywhere near the damage potential of the two characters in S tier.

@@TheOriginalMako with the monkey, you can have around 50k damage per crudgel hit on the second room (not second area, i really mean 2nd ROOM). By the end of the run your crudgel hit for around 750k on a bad run, 5m on a good one and my max was 48m on a god run, multiply that by 10 since soul strike does 10 crudgel when it's max level. All that when monsters(except bosses/elites) on r8 with bizarre dreams don't even have 5m hp on solo runs. On the other side, Fox doesn't have that much dps and her build take too long to do anything. I agree with the other S tier. And making a tier list video while downgrading the literal BEST CHARACTER to a C tier just because you don't like him is kinda strange. I don't like the dlc characters yet i know it's S tier and i really like the turtle but i know it's almost useless now. Please make no mistake, i'm not hating on your video, i just found it genuinely strange and since i destroyed this game in every way possible i felt like giving you my opinion. If you want to have more info on what build i used or more info on why i disagree please let me know.

@@TheOriginalMako i agree with panda being S tier, i would put bird in C since his playstyle is kind of boring to me. furthermore i would put monkey in high A because its very very easy to hit 30mil+ in a single hit and i really like his blessings( dimensional strike and weapon mastery) and furthermore 80% of the stuff you find in runs will help monkey out in some way or another. and i would personally put owl in S because there isnt a single character besides him tho was a faster ttk on mobbing and bossing (besides nona). I would also move down tao to B because i find her very boring (and i hate spores) and she lacks variety in builds . maybe i would also move crownprince down to high B because he isnt too much fun to me after a few builds and he indeed is slow wich i hate (cos im a speedrunner). i would also move up lei luo to easy high A, one of if not the best speedrun character and fun to play imo.

​@@pieguy7057I'd always put bird in s tier, he is super fun especially with the new seasonal elemental pulse things. He is by far the best character in the game probably to not die to sudden oneshots from enemies, probably the best for solo runs to avoid a oneshots killing you due to leap I frames, amazing ascensions across the board pretty much, and good talent ascensions too. I've pretty much mastered bird movement if you can call it that (100+ hours alone on bird) and he is just amazing for solos.

Is this a subjective tier list or something? Bird is complete dogshit in Rein 8 because he can’t play defensive, is forced into melee range, and gets one shot extremely often. He is even worse in multiplayer. You are basically coin flipping leap or not playing. Tiger is top tier. It’s not even debatable. His gifted man basically entirely alleviates his squishiness, he has the highest base ms in the entire game, and he has basically zero non useful ascensions even on bad rolls. His value in multiplayer is even higher because he’s one of the only characters that can one shot enemies even with health scaling. I don’t even know how you can complain about his playstyle when you can just run gradual improvement which is entirely non sniper based. Also, bunny is easily the worst character in the entire game. She’s squishy, she’s slow until she gets kills, she needs too many ascensions to get rolling, she is one of the absolute weakest characters in the entire game early game, uses foundry terribly on foundry events (worst in the entire game imo), and she doesn’t have a clearly defined niche. She shreds elites and bosses but other characters like Owl already do that and also have easy add clear. I’m like genuinely questioning if you thought about this list at all or if it’s just how much fun you have

My brother in christ you might need to play the game more. The birds has I-frames, meaning you can go invincible. It is hard to get one shot if you are able to just constantly press E and go immune to damage. The bunny is so easy to play and win with in R8 it is almost a joke to play her because of how simple it is. And I cannot argue with the tiger. The tiger has some insane builds I just don't like using him at R8. Every other character is more fun to play. But yeah if you are struggling with the bird and bunny then that means you don't understand how to play them.

Bunny is so strong though once it gets going (2nd stage usually). Gun build, ammo regen + dps weapon and it SHREDS. Strongest not at all but A tier 100%. If the weak hp is a problem its a skill issue imo, get better scrolls or she's just not for you.
