Yeah, at one point they stopped doing endings and the openings were almost full songs in length.

They stopped doing endings so they had more time for recaps or to have extra time for the story for important episodes and also more time for openings. Chili Beans - 'Raise' definitely has set a high standard for endings going forward. It's just so wholesome after such a crazy 4 year long (irl) arc, they randomly added it about 5 months back with no announcement, it was a total surprise and everyone loved it.

Do you remember the openings that lasted 2:30 min ? There was no ending for those episodes, so we didn't have One Piece endings for ages. I'm so glad they are back !!

One Piece had decided to have Extended Length Intros (About 2:30 Minutes long) and had no Ending songs after episode 278. (September, 2006) It wasn't until Episode 1071 (August, 2023) that they decided to return with the latest Ending "Raise" and start creating them again. The pause was done to make room for more show time, leaving no room for ending themes.

They didn't do it for more showtime because they increased the length of the opening, so they adjusted the ending time in the opening. But they also cut down on the ultra long narration in the beginning

The fanart ending was derived from an occasional section that would crop up in the manga called Usopp Gallery, where the pages showcased a fair bit of fanart from the gans that mailed it all in. Each episode that had this ending featured different artwork in each one.

Also you’re right about Luffy the way his powers work he can choose to metabolize his food faster so that’s how he gets his energy back, his obsession with meat comes from the fat guy that’s on shanks crew. Luffy is the best ❤

The anime becomes widescreen and HD at episode 207, though there are remastered HD versions for the earlier episodes. But they're zoomed in of course to fit the new format, so they lose some background.

at around the 300 episode mark( the start of opening 5) the openings became full versions. meaning that the 3 minutes that used to be split between op and ed was now all op which meant getting rid of eds. opening 25 went back to the 1:30 length which meant they could make an ed

The first 7 openings were the usual length you would expect from anime : 1 minute and a half. If you remember correctly, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7 had narration, but removing the narration, they would amount to the normal 1 minute and a half mark. The endings, lasting 1 minute, played normally until the final episode of Opening 6! Opening 7 only played for 5 recap episodes (it was that opening that had the Straw Hat pirates singing the first opening, We Are) and had no ending playing. Starting with opening 8, the length of the openings became 2 and a half minutes. They started to use the 1 minute time that was dedicated to the endings on the openings. And that's why the current opening, number 25, is smaller in length. Because endings have finally made a return to One Piece on 2023, after 17 years!

If you like some of the still frame art the author does a lot of colored cover art at the start of every few chapters so if you search up east blue colored cover art shouldn’t be any spoilers and good art

Not really a Spoiler Nami is the Navigator and Pirate Quatermaster(this isnt football,no Vice Captain,a Quatermaster cracks the whip on the crew for aligning the sails,dropping anchor....they also city and manage treasure and ship resources,and orginize away teams). Nami is a Thief so she downplays her Fishman Karate and Fishman Bojitsu(quarterstaff fighting) for "Backstab" attacks preceding using her Climatat abilities for "Crowd Control" attacks Ussop is the Snipper/Gunner and also a Tinkerer that was the Makeshift repairer of Merry. He doesnt like fighting but his projectiles have abilities for "crowd Control" Zoro is the Swordsman and Nami usually assigns him to Watch Duty Sanji is the Cook and is usually the one that procures provisions, he's also a capable Fighter Chopper is the Doctor and because he can turn into a Deer or "Bigfoot" he does help with muscle work like Provisions moving, he doesnt like to Fight but he is capable of Kungfu for "crowd control" Robin is Technically Luffy's Ward because he saved her life against her will (or so her Scam went) and as a Historian/Archeologist she can help read the poneglyphs giving the Strawhats a head start on the Poneglyphs importance in finding the Onepiece. People forget she's an Assassin as her main job in the Underworld cause she been killing CP Agents,Marines,and Bounty Hunters in Self Defense since she was 8 years old with a 66million bounty(Earning the Title "Demon Child" from using her devilfruit to set off the gunpowder on multiple Marine ships destroying and sinking all of them in self defense)

Estimating how long it will catch up by watching 3 episodes a week really puts into perspective how LONG the series is. 1082 episodes / 3 = 360 weeks. 360 weeks / 4 = 90 months. 90 months / 12 = 7.5 years. There's quite a few filler episodes you could skip. But at the same time, just under 4 episodes come out each month. I think the only way to catch up in a reasonable amount of time, is to do what JDanime2 is doing, and uploading 1 episode per day. Or FreshestAnime's way of cutting up 3 episodes into one video per day.

Basically after a while there was so many endings he stopped making them. That's why when you were watching the openings, the minute and a half openings became into 3 minute openings cuz it was no more endings and then later on somebody openings that were up to now showed scenes of the episode and some people didn't like that. So then they shortened a openings again and brought back the endings. I hope that didn't sound confusing. But yeah, the ones that you watched today if I'm correct five or six or just based on Robin's backstory ark

As a long time op fans(since 2008 when i was 9 years old) I like ending song more than opening and about the time i start watching weekly the ending were stoped 2 years earlier 2006 i waited and now in 2023 we get another one

One piece doesn't follow conventional op and ed episode numbers, but usually endings last 1/2 of the episodes of the opening, so we are that goes for 40+ episodes is ed 1 and 2, ed 15 will be around op 7

The ending If I recall ended with the time skip, so after the time skip there were no endings

Yeah they stopped making by about 1/3 or even 1/4 the way through how many eps they have right now. They did more endings than openings, so if they kept going, it would farrr surpass how many openings we have.

The reason why stopped producing ED that year was because of the decline in popularity and the arrangement of the TV station. Later, even though the popularity recovered, there has been no ED until now. -----from chinese onepiece fans
